He never saw it coming
Really? Cause the bill has a date of 1997 on it. So when did they place that bet? Fake much?
@HammerOfHerertics, We dont know when he got it framed. It could have been sitting in a drawer or another safe place until they decided to get this made in '97.
@Neo Daedulus, seems like a stretch but I guess
@HammerOfHerertics, Aug 27, 1980 according to the paper next to it. Feb 22,1997 could have been the day he actually paid him.
@Delivery God Yato, right but the bill has a later date on it. And presumably if it’s framed you wouldn’t have touched it after 1980 so what’s going on?
@HammerOfHerertics, I mean that could have been when he was actually paid. 17 years is a long time but like could have been forgotten.
@HammerOfHerertics, the date on the bill could also mean literally nothing. Like that was already written on it.
@HammerOfHerertics, are you trolling?
@Neo Daedulus, I'm gonna press X on your theory
@HammerOfHerertics, but like, if you were gonna fake it? Why would you use a bill with the wrong date? I’m going with the “paid on this date” theory.
@HammerOfHerertics, did some digging and it appears that the Star Wars special editions of the original trilogy came out in 1997. Just a theory but maybe an interview around that time made it 100% clear that Darth Vader wasn’t lying to luke and that it wasn’t some future twist
Dam.. spoilers everywhere..
@Kounat, right, these are getting out of hand.
Damn. $10 was a lot back then. Now, you can’t even get a movie ticket with that.
@Donald Trump, according to the bureau of labor statistics, $10 in 1980 has the equivalent buying power of $30.16 today
@YoYoMango, and according to natoonline.org, an average movie ticket cost $2.69 in 1980, whereas in 2016, the average movie ticket was $8.65. So, on a national average, the same amount of buying power got you 3.717 movies in 1980 and 3.486 movies in 2016. God, I'm lonely right now...
It was originally leaked that obi wan killed Luke's father. Which is true from a certain point of view.
Woo first upload!
Is this a spoiler? I haven't seen ESB yet.
@bowerpower1210, no, this is not a spoiler. It does not say who the father is or who won the bet.
