Theodore Roosevelt died a hundred years ago and we already have his head on a mountain. But yeah I’d chip in for a Steve Irwin statue
@ObsceneGestureAlert, I’d chip in for anybody but Musk.
@Berntley, whats wrong with musk?
@ObsceneGestureAlert, that's not him suggesting Roosevelt. That's him showing the original commenter's avatar outside to see the next panel
@jasontype40, oh my bad
@The nOly One, @The nOly One, I don’t trust him. He’s just another billionaire bro who exploits the generation gap to build his popularity and inflate his wallet. I appreciate the contributions of his company, but I feel in no way compelled to idolize the dude. Everything he is, he got to be because of money. He needs to be kept in check, not worshiped. You can make similar arguments about the others based on how you may or may not value their work/contributions/personality vs your perspective, I’m sure.
@Berntley, so you think that just cause he’s a billionaire he can’t be authentic? Contrary to popular belief rich people are still people, and elon musk had to work his way to his fortune and his popularity and fame, I dont understand why we can’t reward that by liking the dude.
@ObsceneGestureAlert, as long as it's a waterfall statue with crocs pouring out the mouth
@The nOly One, I didn’t say you can’t. What I am saying is that nobody can tell me I have to. I don’t even hate the guy. I just approach his success and his clout with caution, and you’re talking like I’m attacking him. I could, but I’m not. All I’m saying is, in response to the original comment, if there were some campaign to fund a statue in honor of each person here on this meme, I would consider chipping in for any of them, except for Elon. If you would put your offerings forth into him, that’s your prerogative.
@Berntley, ok, I respect that
@The nOly One, Also, Musk can afford to pay for his own statue.
Unless that defamation lawsuit goes really badly for him.
@Nellybert , its not about affording, the post says who is worthy
@The nOly One, Sorry, the implication is that it meant worthy of other people funding a statue for - and I meant that even if Musk was deserving, he’s a billionaire and so can pay for it himself.
@The nOly One, because he didnt do anything worthy of one. He had the idea of paying, but online. Or his idea of selling dirt to poor people. His only real accomplishment is spaceX and the govt took most of the risk by doing it first. Not to mention he's childish and called someone a pedo after they called his stupid submarine stupid because it couldn't save the thai boys that were trapped, he just wants pr. Why would we give the billionaire a statue when all he does is do what billionaires do?
@The nOly One, actually his daddy was rich, he went from millionaire to billionaire instead of lower or middle class to rich. Maybe if he wasnt such a giant ass when people call him out on his bs he'd be more likable. And sorry the real heroes are the scientists he employs who make the real innovations.
@AWildMagikarp, hes a capitalist. He provides a product people will buy, and the people smelling Elon's musk are buying...
@Berntley, I agree with you. Many people seem to think of Musk as a great savior but to me he’s just another billionaire with money to spend and sells a product
Hold the fùck up. This is my meme. Literally my meme, I made this and posted it on r/dankmemes earlier this week. Didn't think Itd end up here lol
@Cabbage Salesman, thats what you get for not posting it here first!
haha jk nice OC man love the format
How about all of them
Pardon my ignorance, who's the last one?
And of course I shjt you not himself
Also Stephen Hillenburg. He made some show, pretty popular, can't remember it's name though.
Ronnie James Dio.
Is opportunity a person? Don't get me wrong, if I could I'd nake him a statue myself but I think that guy was asking specifically for people. The other entries are completly valid though.
Musk doesnt deserve a statue, all he did was privatize what gov't's around the world already did.
