Guys there are like 14 parts to this and if you love these comics like me I suggest you just Google erma and find them because it's worth it to just read the whole thing in order
@Commander Peanuts, there are currently 214 "parts" (including one panel specials) and I spent over an hour breezing through them
@Box of Cats, yah I just meant for this dummy story arc. But yes they're all fantastic and I really want to see how rats in the walls ends
@Commander Peanuts, 14 seem too many isn't it more like 8 at most? and they seem to all be randomly spread through the pics
@Box of Cats, I don't remember the exact number, so you might be right and if you mean spread through the comics on the site, then no they're in order just with a couple holiday specials in between
@Commander Peanuts, no I mean on this app but I just counted and there are 13 parts to this particular story
@Box of Cats, ah! Yah that's they issue is they're posted separately, out of order, and they're not even all here. Better to just go on the site and read them
Oh there's more to this
I thought I was in the uncut section for a second, given the amount of these uploaded
I would say 'death to erma' but you know... TBH there might be a good one here or there, but overall it's like an onion. It looks shtty to start with, then as you peel back the layers you begin to cry as you realize its the same crap all the way through.
@Tentastic, yknow what's cool about this community? All the people that aren't like you. We've come to accept that there are going to be posts that we like and posts that we don't but guess what? You don't HAVE to comment on or even read the ones you don't like! A lot of people, myself included, still love erma comics. It's not necessary to bring negativity to something others enjoy. Don't worry though there's a really simple solution for you and then I promise you'll never have to read through another erma comic again. Ready? Swipe left.
@Tentastic, you just got roasted.
@Commander Peanuts, #bestcomments
@Commander Peanuts, nah fvck that. Erma is lame Calvin and Hobbes rip offs. Same storys, different characters and settings. I hear people bjtch and complain about other comics i thought were dumb but funny, like the animation worsening while the vocabulary increased comics. I enjoyed those, fvck it. But i don't cry like ermatards do. (Yes, I've given you a name) So you know what's great about this community, people like me who don't give a shjt what you think. Fvck erma.
@I Are Lebo, #hellno
@Commander Peanuts, That's the whole entire reason I'm not saying 'death to erma'... Also given by the fact you like it, I bet you've never even heard of Calvin and Hobbes.
@Greedy Ghandi, oh, and to save you the time of typing "tell me when erma ripps off Calvin and Hobbes!" I'll already give you an example. Here's one: When erma comes out of the kitchen sink (cause you know, that's so fvcking hilarious) and makes a mess of water on the floor, her dad gets mad at her, cleans it, then his wife comes out the drain and makes the same mess and ermas dad is visually irritated. Just copy and pasted when Calvin walked in the house trudging in snow and his mom yells at him, cleans it up and his dad follows in behind shortly after trudging in snow while Calvin's mom slaps her forehead in frustration. Boom. Fvck erma, go grab a Calvin and Hobbes book and get the real thing. But i guess there is a market for knockoffs obviously, or china would've gone bankrupt by now.
@Greedy Ghandi, that's basic humour. One scenario being followed by another. You might as well be annoyed because one show has someone talk about someone else behind their back without knowing that person is behind them. To blame Erma for sharing one trope with Calvin and Hobbes is really dumb.
"There is nothing new under the sun". If you need your (free) entertainment to be entirely original, than nothing will ever satisfy you. And if you are unsatisfiable, then your opinions become meaningless.
Nobody is concerned with trying to please someone who refuses to ever be satisfied.
@Greedy Ghandi, but on a slightly different note: tell me, seriously. Does being so angry make you enjoy your life more?
@Tentastic, actually I own all of the Calvin and Hobbes books, and have commented on here multiple times about how I'd like to see more Calvin and Hobbes. Not sure how liking a similar comic would imply that I've never seen it.
@Greedy Ghandi, yup. It's similar. And being someone who has read Calvin and Hobbes since I was old enough to read, I enjoy more of something similar. I find it kind of funny that they were able to take that C&H concept and put their own supernatural twist on it. Ripoffs aren't always great, I get it, and I'm sorry you can't just enjoy it for what it is. I'm not mad that you don't like it, I just think it's kind of a dick move to insult it because you don't but other people do. But since we're not getting new Calvin and Hobbes comics anytime soon, I'll continue to be an ermatard.
@I Are Lebo, oh so now I'm labeled as unsatisfiable? Wow, that's a stretch bud. Handle it like a man like commander peanuts did. Cause you sound whiny af. Oh, and to answer your question, yes my life is extremely enjoyable being this mad all the time. Because you know, one comment justifies an entire lifestyle. I mean that's what you wanted to hear right?
@I Are Lebo, change your name to:
I am Lame-o. See i made a joke, a bad one, but a joke. Oh, my life is now switched upside down and I'm constantly joking now in my life, and always happy, cause you know i commented with a joke. See your logic? Ridiculous.
@I Are Lebo, you probably work in a factory, supermarket, or a zoo. Because yoo have zero insight into the creation process. There is always something new under the sun. You have a shjtty view of the world dude.
@Greedy Ghandi, I'm a script writer.
And obviously I don't know what your life is like. I was making a point, not determining what your entire life is like.
Erma's similarity to Calvin and Hobbes is superficial at best, and even then is not a bad thing. You've probably noticed that Calvin and Hobbes stopped being made a long time ago.
If it wasn't for the fact that doing so would be usurping a copyright license, if someone made a total ripoff comic of Calvin and Hobbes, but with the same skill and intelligence as Bill Waterson, I'd be fairly pleased. I loved that comic. Do I like Erma as much? No. So what?
Your review of these webcomics is so overwhelmingly negative it's obvious that you are incapable (or unwilling) to take a non biased, objective point of view.
If a reviewer cannot give an objective view of a product or service then they are a terrible reviewer.
Also, if you read my logic based arguments and criticisms and all you get from that is 'this guy is a whiny bïtch that
@Greedy Ghandi, doesn't know what he is talking about', then it's clear that you aren't actually reading my comments, and therefore I'm wasting my time on you.
Feel however you feel. I don't care, and it wouldn't matter if I did. But other people have spoken for themselves too. Erma is fairly popular because it is parodying popular horror culture in a cute way, which a lot of people enjoy.
If you can't see the difference between a boy and his stuffed yet also real tiger having philosophical and goofy adventures, and the daughter of The Ring chick learning to explore the natural and supernatural worlds while being simultaneously cute and scary, then I don't think I can explain it to you.
Tl:dr version, you say "Fück Erma". The rest of us say "fück off".
@I Are Lebo, that's the longest way to type "waaaaaaah" I've ever seen my life. Oh, and you're a script writer? What do you write scripts for? Erma? Makes sense... It copies Calvin, period. I don't give a shjt when they were stopped being made, they are still in print genius. Like i said, if you want the real thing, grab a Calvin book. And who is us saying fvck off? You have more downvotes than upvotes buddy lol. Omg I'm arguing with an idiot. I better stop because people may not see the difference.
@I Are Lebo, a scriptwriter, pffft. So in other words you're unemployed and still live with your parents. Got it.
@Greedy Ghandi, rrrrriiiiight. Done with you now.
@Greedy Ghandi, so you went through and upvoted all your comments? Priceless..
@Greedy Ghandi, the best thing about my news page leading me back to this is the opportunity to reupvote my comments and redownvote your douchey comments.
@I Are Lebo, oh yeah, the guy who lives with his parents and is a "scriptwriter".. Hahahahaha. Hit it big yet lol? Or still unemployed, which is the correct term for your job. But hey, maybe I'm wrong, you could work at McDonald's lol. Have a great day pal, mines terrific, and it just got better knowing how i really affected your existence. You're welcome. You'll never forget me. Thanks!
@I Are Lebo, ps erma is still lame as fvck
@Greedy Ghandi, I forgot about you completely until an upvote on my feed brought me back here, and in ~10 minutes I’ll once again forget about you.
@I Are Lebo, nope. I am engrained I your sub conscious forever. Deal with it. I have that effect on humans.
@I Are Lebo, cherish it
@Greedy Ghandi, who are you, again?
@I Are Lebo, nice try. Write about me...
@I Are Lebo, and wait... You're still on this app? Only place you get semi attention. I got off this app. Too many sensitive sallys. This the kind of app that thinks there is more than two genders lol
@Greedy Ghandi, yeah, you’re clearly off this app...
@Greedy Ghandi, not all of you, just you all who like erma cartoons lol
@Greedy Ghandi, that’s why a response to an 11 month old pic got you back here immediately.
@I Are Lebo, it popped up on my iphone genius lol
@I Are Lebo, go and harass another girl on here
@Greedy Ghandi, you have an interesting definition of harassment.
@I Are Lebo, you're the thirsty one on here from what i remember. Always chasing girls from pic to pic. Be aware ladies, he's coming for you
@I Are Lebo, fvcking creeper bro seriously lol
@Greedy Ghandi, not thirsty, just bored.
And your gender is irrelevant to me.
@I Are Lebo, cool, well I'm off back to real life. Stay nerdy you bunch lame soft sensitive nerds.
@Greedy Ghandi, will do! Stay douchey, you overgrown lump of grumpy.
@I Are Lebo, exactly my point. "Lump of grumpy".. Wow, try saying that to a bunch of dudes bro. You sound so lame. Just remember one thing before i go, upvotes don't pay your bills....your parents do.
I swiped left and replied to your sorry attempt of a comment
Stupid question... who is that?
@AJMalone, yeah, the other person is who's confusing me.
@DistractedDingo, sorry, misunderstood. It looks like the guy from Saw. Not sure, though.
@AJMalone, no problem. Thank you.
