Hopefully they return with a better movie
@Chicken bob , the problem with adding more and more characters in marvel is always gonna be the "where the fvck were they?" issue. I get that they made a solid universe (not really tons of holes and logical issues) but can't they just be satisfied? Or you know what make a different universe. We already have the multiverse so just go with that. There are way to many marvel characters to add them all slowly and in one universe given the movie release rate.
@Runnin with scissors, Another problem comes with the contracts means characters have to die. Eventually the mcu is going to be filled with characters either no one knows or worse no one cares about
@Runnin with scissors, yeah, but all you have to do is acknowledge the big snap and set the catastrophe the new people are dealing with in such a way that they have to pick between thanos or whatever they are dealing with. Or if you don’t want to deal with thanos at all set the origin after the snap
@eleven, sucks they couldn’t replicate what they did with Guardians. I mean honestly who in the general public has even heard of the guardians of the galaxy before the movies. But they were able to create something great with a dope capable director. Eternals was a big team that they could have easily knocked the size down in half and the best part would be that no one would care cause there aren’t enough people to care about Eternals comics to be vocally mad about it. They really did goof up on the movie as a whole, but I still liked some parts of it
@JustAlan, A lot of it is casting Chris Pratt has more than enough charisma to carry a team and the guy who plays drax is hilarious at times. There just aren’t enough great actors to power the MCU indefinitely you could argue it’s already starting to show signs of fatigue as Brie Larson isn’t exactly the picture of charisma and eternals sucked. This goes double for the villains many mainstays of the comic book world like ultron and thanos have been killed off already. Soon enough there won’t be any real villains left.
I’d be fine if they didn’t return… ever.
@Sir Borksalot , Hey c'mon, Phastos was cool.
@SimonPetrikov, Karun was the only good character in the movie
@Sir Borksalot , Oh yeah I like him too.
I actually didn't mind it
@NerdyGirl69, Yeah I thought it was okay. I'm not going to defend it to my death, but I also don't think it was terrible. Not even the worst Marvel movie, in my opinion.
@SimonPetrikov, yeah exactly, plus it was great for inclusiveness that they hired a deaf actress and not just an able-bodied person to play it
@NerdyGirl69, I like that it's not presented as a flaw or a setback. I just wish she had more of her own story going on. On the same note, it was nice to see a gay character be overtly gay, and not an unimportant side character with two lines go "I have a boyfriend." Phastos was my second favorite character after Himbo McBigFists.
@SimonPetrikov, exactly! Incusivity is so important, but to do it in a way that isn't woke tokenism
Am I the only one that didn't have a big problem with the movie?
Is it the best MCU movie? Not at all. But I still enjoyed it very much. I think alot of people are bashing on it because the critics hated it. If you're a fan of these movies but still didn't enjoy Eternals, I'm okay with that. But don't hate on it just because it's the popular opinion at the moment.
@The Pocket Taco, completely agreed. I went in expecting it to be a train wreck given they wanted to introduce such a huge cast in one film. But I was willing to give it a chance and I really loved the story they told! Definitely not the best marvel film but absolutely enjoyable.
Is that not a good movie? I'm kind of skeptical about seeing all of the new marvel stuff cuz there's honestly just a f****** much of it at this point
@CrazyManInaBox, it’s ok? It spent a lot of time trying to jump back to introduce us to all these new characters then back to the main plot then jump back for more character info then back to main plot and repeat a couple times….would’ve been better as a series it felt sloppily put together or there’s a lot more they could’ve added to help it flow easier
@CrazyManInaBox, no it was not woman directed the movie made a huge fvck the MCU moment in a nutshell
@CrazyManInaBox, personally I enjoyed the movie. As expected when introducing new characters there was a lot of backstory and so it was a little slower than a normal marvel movie is expected to be but it had a different feel to it and wasn't just another marvel movie. No hate to marvel cause I'm a huge fan but I just wanted to add the appreciation for it being different. I believe the characters will have a better storyline in the future now that the backstory is out of the way.
@CrazyManInaBox, the other Marvel movies other than Black Widow and Eternal were good and I think Doctor Strange will be good as well. I think one reason Eternals was so bad is that the characters were not relatable at all. Very similar to DC movie characters. I also felt like there were big holes in the plot as well. Ultimately is was 2.5 hours of meh. I’d rather watch Iron Man 3 twice than watch Eternals again.
@Scarlet Js Evil Twin, I also enjoyed it.
Don't know if anyone saw the recent news, but the actor that was playing Knightmoon in the new series just died today in a ski accident.
Eternal does not mean it will return. It just means it will always exist
How are they going to top what they’ve already accomplished!?
Are they going to perform an abortion on an even bigger god in the sequel?
