Alright, but Michael Jackson was at least found not guilty in a court of law.
@Doctor Krieger, so did R Kelly...
@Doctor Krieger, that’s only because the children couldn’t take what with his junk in their mouths
@Doctor Krieger, but remember. People said he did it so he must have. /s
I'm not saying the people are lying just that we've become a society that takes allegations as truth; this even happens to normal people. Most of the time someone is proven innocent they still are regarded as guilty by some of the public.
@Doctor Krieger, twice...they also found a secret room
@Doctor Krieger, so was OJ Simpson.
@Liquid Stuff, but he was also found guilty. Without doing your own extensive research you have to choose which you believe.
@Strider1321, so like trump
@Doctor Krieger, Unlike Roman Polanski, who is still loved in Hollywood despite admitting to drugging and @nally r@ping a 13 year old girl.
@Usmovers, he was found guilty of armed robbery, not the assasination of his wife which was a different case.
@Strider1321, and still have some punishments enforced upon them
@Jakobian, exactly. Now with Louis admitting it; that is one of the cases where punishments are ok. With Spacey, while he may have done it he has not been convicted yet
@Liquid Stuff, he was found guilty of Ron Goldman's wrongful death in a civil court after his televised trial
@Doctor Krieger, Kevin spacey never even went to court, as far as I know.
@Strider1321, that's because with only a 3% conviction rate people have enough common sense to know that a lot of the people proved innocent are exactly the opposite
@Kayda, that is true due to it being a he said, she said case due to lack of hard evidence. I'm also encompassing all court cases as that does happen no matter the charge.
@Doctor Krieger, nobody innocent pays off that many multi million dollar settlements attached to NDAs.
MJ got away with his crimes because he was smart about it, and had a very good lawyer.
You want evidence? Look at McCauley Kaulkin. He was national star when he went to Neverland Ranch. Then he got a huge settlement from Michael Jackson and spent the next decade coked out of his head. His career ended, his health ended, and he went off the deep end, along with a big payday from an accused child molestor. The math isn't that hard.
@I Are Lebo, All your math using McCauley Caulkin proves is that he did what a lot of people do who get huge payouts from anything including lottery. Get drugged up.
@Seohn, if you look at interviews with him and pictures from rehab he shows very clear signs of trauma, signs that he did not exhibit before going to Neverland Ranch.
Is this enough evidence to convict someone? Of course not. But it is foolish to dismiss it. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, especially when the suspect has probably paid for the silence of victims/witnesses.
Learn to separate a creator from they're work. Just because someone is a shjtty person, doesn't mean they can't make really good things.
It's why I have an original painting from Hitler above my bed.
@Weird Porn Stash, haha, are you serious?
@Weird Porn Stash, I don’t like that painting Charlie, it mocks me
As a female, i have been groped, inappropriately touched, etc over the years in the military and civilian life. Yes, it sucks. But i feel like a lot of people are now coming forward saying this happened to them. Well guess what? It happens to a lot of people - and now celebrities want the world to know they got their boob grabbed. I just feel like the media wants us to feel sympathy for celebrities when i actuality, this happens everday to regular people. Ok - rant over. Happy Veterans Day to my fellow service women and men!
@saturday night fever, wait, are you saying because it happens all the time it's okay?
@Usmovers, Not at all! Im just saying a lot of celebrities are saying they were inappropriately touched. Many many people in the world have been victims also, but it seems like just because they are famous, we should care more about them than regular people like you and me. Its not ok for anyone to be molested.
@saturday night fever, I'm not sure I'm understanding your argument completely, but are you are suggesting they are coming out for the attention or that the media is over-hyping it. I think part of the issue here is not just a boob grab or dick grab, but the fact they were as young as they were. As for the media, I think it just hits the news more because of how public a figure they already are. It's not that we care more about these cases, their lives are just already massively public.
@saturday night fever, if you got groped in the military did you report it? They take those accusations seriously (if you're a girl). When I was in, an accusation was made against a couple guys in my unit and it was crazy how the army went after them. The accusation turned out to be false and the guys careers ruined (the girl got busted for drugs and tried to claim rape to get out of it. it worked too, even after she admitted she lied the army dropped the charges and gave her a discharge just to make it go away), but it sure showed how seriously they take the accusations.
@Oujosh29, i did report it. I was 18 at the time and they were pushing 30. I didn't want to be a tattletale, but it was serious. I think maybe my original statement came off wrong. I never intended to offend anyone. Sorry if I sounded like an a$$.
@Oujosh29, that's absolutely disgusting, and disgraceful.
He died he gets a pass. Jk no he doesn't
@jizzgenerator, I hope sh doesn’t.
@jizzgenerator, he was found not guilty in the court of law. That's enough for me.
@jizzgenerator, he didn’t get a pass, he MADE a pass...at McAuley Culkin.
@Galven, "Not guilty" is not the same as "innocent".
@Filker, um, I'm not a lawyer, but it kinda is.
@Galven, and that's WHY you're not a lawyer.
@Filker, you're right in that it doesn't mean he's innocent. But if they couldn't prove it in court, what secret info do you have that would make you think he's guilty? There's no crystal ball on this kind of stuff, but if the accused is found not guilty, they should be given the benefit of the doubt. Otherwise it's just "guilty and screw you it can't be proven otherwise" for accusations.
@Oujosh29, not guilty means the jury thought there was reasonable doubt as to whether or not the accused did it, and certain evidence can't be used if it was found illegitimately, or key witnesses may not testify at the time, but do admit things years later. It's pretty easy for it to be clear that someone did it, without them being found guilty in a court of law.
@ReeseBobby, clear on what grounds? To be guilty you need evidence and proof beyond a reasonable shadow of doubt. If you cannot meet that strict guideline and that standard of factual, rigorously checked evidence, then it is not at all "clear that someone did it." Which is the entire fvcking point of the legal system. So armchair judges like you can't fck over people's lives because you are so sure with your zero evidence and cross examination.
I absolutely detest that mentality and people like you who perpetuate it. There is no court of public consciousness. You untrained observers who aren't even a part of the picture all be damned.
@PB2, I'm just saying that Michael Jackson definitely diddled some kids, even though he was never convicted. This current Hollywood witch-hunt is not something I support nor do I even support boycotting people who have not been convicted, but I'd be guilty of the legalistic fallacy if I thought that just because an accusation doesn't hold up in court, it must also be false. Plenty of guilty men go free and plenty of innocent men go to jail. No one operates on a strictly legal system of morality and if you just take every court ruling as gospel (which you probably don't) then you're not very bright. Like you said you need proof beyond a reasonable doubt, but just because there's one reasonable doubt or a misconducted legal process, that doesn't mean you, as a non governmental entity should assume that nothing happened. If a cop discovered a crime as the result of an unlawful search, that evidence doesn't count in court, but it's totally clear that the crime happened.
@ReeseBobby, not sure why you're being downvoted, you're not wrong.
I mean the facts are pretty clear, just not clear enough to act as proof in a court of law, where the standards are (necessarily) stricter.
And the Hollywood witch hunt continues...
It a double edge sword, yes Michael Jackson. Was a great singer but at the same time he was sick in the head.
@megamanx181x, genius and madness are two sides of the same coin.
@I Are Lebo, that is so accurate, there just always seems to be a catch to people who have amazing talent or abilities.
Difference us there's proof in Spacey's case.
@Captain Swordsman, replace it with R Kelly then
Michael Jackson paid millions of dollars in settlements. Innocent people don't pay millions of dollars to silence people that they didn't do anything wrong to.
Also, McCauley Caulkin spent time at Neverland Ranch, received a multi million dollar settlement from MJ, and then immediately became a cocaine addict.
Don’t forget how tons of women accused trump and bill Cosby of sexual harassment( and being drugged) but people don’t believe those ladies ..
@TDubbs, don't believe them? I don't know anyone who doesn't believe the girls who accuse bill Cosby. Everything he's worked for or on has been cancelled or pulled. Our culture is very much into believing accusers no matter what.
@TDubbs, thats because the people who accused trump were liars, their stories all fell apart because they were full of sh!t.
@GunLovingMerican, I have personally seen the video of Trump groping the breast of a seventeen year old model. I don't know how you haven't heard the recording of Trump himself admitting to grabbing women "by the pussy". They aren't lies.
Hopefully one day he'll get his, because Donald Trump is a disgusting man who has made a living on screwing over others, and I hope one day his spell breaks and people like you can finally stop supporting a scumbag who literally could not care less about you.
@I Are Lebo, i have heard that. So fvxking what? It was a private converstation that was recorded. Guys say fvcked up sh!tt for sh!ts and giggles all the time when theyre with friends. The video of him groping someone i havent seen but if it did happen, wouldnt he have been charged with with groping an underage girl especially if their is video evidence? No spells over me i just preferred him over the last and that traitorous cvnt he was up against.
The problem with these accusations is. Should a company fire a lead actor from a show. And should they end of being proven innocent. It’ll be one hell of a wrongful termination lawsuit.
Are we talking about Kevin "drains a glass of rum, then touches a young boy's bum" Spacey?
Edgy meme 101
Because Michael Jackson DIED... how is this a mystery?
@Suicide Squad Sucks, it's a mystery because people had this attitude before he died.
@I Are Lebo, I'm just saying, once you die, everyone sings your praises, regardless of what you did in life.
@Suicide Squad Sucks, I'm a big fan Adolf, now that he's dead.
@Suicide Squad Sucks, it is weird. "Don't disparage the dead". Like the dead care.
It's like hearing the eulogy of someone that you knew was a piece of shït in life. You just sit there listening to the priest or rabbi or whatever drone on about their goodness while you remember what a scumbag they were.
He’s a great actor but a shjitty person
