He’s facing a fully armoured opportunity, the sword blade won’t do sh*t, so he does the correct thing and bash the enemy with the guard
@Gallchobhair, while holding the blade bare-handed to assert dominance
@Gallchobhair, you can also grab half way up the blade and get some better thrust angles with it
@Guy Fawkes, half swording if my memory serves. Seen somebody duel that way and he was terrifyingly accurate
@Guy Fawkes, half swording. The knight here is doing it
@Gallchobhair, end him rightly
@theshadosnipe, while this picture doesn't depict it well, you hold it a very specific way so that the blade is held by the palm side knuckles. Significantly making it less likely to slip and cut your hands
@lilwhiteboyz, looking at the picture this mans is about to lose his fingers
@theshadosnipe, You can do that without cutting yourself, believe it or not. Though most people are going to be wearing gloves.
@voided sanity, half swording is holding the tang and blade. The term you are looking for is Mordhau. And is QUITE effective against armored adversaries.
Also: combat swords are actually NOT razor sharp as everyone things. They hold a Combat Edge most of the blade length and are sharp-sharp the last few inches. (incase you have to Mordhau or Halfsword)
actually i played a game on pc that allows u to hold sword like that its called mordhau
@HellHog, LOVE that game. 1500 hours in.
It’s funny because of the F word.
@MrSparkle, no its funny because its spoken naturally
