Pretty accurate. I have a friend and he wanted me to tell him the ending of fallout 4 so I explained it then he asked “what about the factions?” To which I replied with “mass effect 3”
@Bad Boi Jesus, fallout 4 was really mass effect 4. ME:A was not a mass effect game.
@ReeseBobby, I was saying the faction’s endings are carbon copies with slight changes
@Bad Boi Jesus, but it also adopted much mass effect's formula and flaws, with few of the benefits.
@Bad Boi Jesus, Fallout 4 doesn’t end. The main missions are just a long side quest.
Plus, it’s actually possible to ‘end’ the game allied to everyone but the institute. If you do the right thing you can keep both the brotherhood and the railroad intact and allied with you.
@Bad Boi Jesus, it really was just a choice between the institute or the railroad/brotherhood. Because there were only two endings
@BearDaniels, exactly. Either you blow up the institute or you don’t.
To be honest, it still bothers me that you cannot confront Father about the Institute kidnappings. It’s implied via terminal entries that the kidnapped settlers were used in lethal experiments, but there’s no justifying it. It was entirely unnecessary, and therefore evil.
@I Are Lebo, I assumed they were used in the super mutant experiments.
@BearDaniels, that was at least one of the fates, yes. It’s strongly implied in the terminals in the locked off wing of the bio area. But there are way too few super mutant corpses, so unless the institute is directly responsible for the super mutants in the commonwealth, the numbers don’t add up. They’ve kidnapped probably around one or two hundred people over the years.
If they are responsible for the super mutants, then they for sure need to be stopped.
@I Are Lebo, idk they are also making high yield radiation resistant food and a drone peace keeping force. Gotta consider the shady stuff with the good. They have the best chance of rebuilding the commonwealth if they don’t abandon it outright.
@BearDaniels, not so. That experiment yielding radiation resistant crops? The next stage involved slaughtering all of the humans and replacing them with synths.
The drone peacekeepers have orders to kill outsiders (with the sole exception being the Sole Survivor).
They could rebuild the Commonwealth, but they won’t. They can only replace it.
@Bad Boi Jesus, I actually just started playing it, and now understand what these are
@I Are Lebo, I don't know if they are responsible for all the super mutants. In the first fallout you have the option of joining with the mutants and they take all the vault dwellers and dip them in radioactive waste to make more mutants. I don't remember if the mutant says how they were created.
@Eldsmidur, key thing to remember. The Master’s super mutants were grey, not green. The Super Mutants from the Capitol Wasteland and the Commonwealth are a different breed.
They’re made from FEV (Forced Evolutionary Virus), not radiation.
@I Are Lebo, are there supermutants in new Vegas? I really don't remember any. That would make sense of why the super mutants keep saying the age of man is over, just like the institute.
@Eldsmidur, yes there is. They are Nightkin, and are the remnants of the Master’s army. That’s why they are grey, not green.
They use stealthboys.
@I Are Lebo, it's been way too long since I've played them. I honestly don't remember any of them being grey.
I'm still extremely disappointed in the Minutemen's story and Preston's character development.
@SimonPetrikov, what character development.
@SimonPetrikov, another settlement needs your help
