Well when you can throw a shít ton of mickey money at a studio, you're bound to end up with quite a few winners. I'll admit, I was burnt out after Endgame. Not to say I didn't like it, I just felt like "what's next, they already fought a dude that wanted to eliminate half the universe". But Loki, Wandavision and What If were all pretty good. Falcon/Winter Soilder was meh.
@Drunk Pantless Uncle, looking at what they are setting up, they will have two “big” bads for the upcoming phases. One grounded on Earth, aka the Thunderbolts. And the one being crazy and everywhere, aka Kang.
@Ribird, I feel like they will have to severely underpower Kang in order for him to fit within the "grounded" MCU. Kinda like what they did with Thanos.
That still counts as 1
When your a fan of all 3 you are both hopeful and worried that they will be ruined
@troubled panda, I’m not worried about lotr, that’s guaranteed to be ruined!
@Hot Coffee, it will have good production, but the news about the diverse shire, makes zero sense and is only added for representation purposes. I'm only talking about how skin color was originally based on your geo position on the globe and varied climates and environments. Cultural migration and homogenization occured as technologies evolved, so a small region would all have similar looks. If this is a prequel series you wouldn't expect more diversity, possibly less. I can understand the studios decisions, but to me it requires suspending even more disbelief required of a fantasy series. GoT atleast understood the regional aspect of explaining cultural diversity and typically other races were from other continents or regions.
I would be perfectly fine explaining more diversity in a later age of middle-earth, but this is just a marketing decision to drum up hype and applause.
@Hot Coffee, I hate so much that I agree with you.
@Mag3rPayne, yep. Not to mention that hobbits didn’t even live in the shire during the time of the lotr tv series, but I’m guessing that they’re going to ignore that.
I’m expecting the writing quality of a teenager’s first fanfic. What’s worse, they’re not even filming in New Zealand.
@CousinMose, me too.
Anybody else hyped for Wheel of Time…?
Or, be a fan of all three franchises, and only watch what you like! Ready
The opposite of love isn’t hate, it’s indifference.
I indifference the Amazon LoTR series.
