I've never even seen this text to post system before.
@JakobJeanCiccone, this appears in facebook messenger app I think... But only if you also have the facebook app? But I could be mistaken...
@JakobJeanCiccone, you can but you have to set it up in app then send a text to 32665 or fbook to get started. Cool if you only have a "feature phone" or non-smartphone and unlimited texts of course.
@Cobaltqube, before I had a smartphone I had that setting on. It would text you notifications and would let you post to your timeline by texting them. It was a neat system but isn’t needed anymore.
@JakobJeanCiccone, I remember having it a long time ago but I turned off the notifications cause it’s annoying af
@JakobJeanCiccone, I used to make facebook posts from my flip phone... years ago
@Horse Lime, surprisingly there are a lot of non-smartphones out there still. I would guess this type of setup still sees some use, but yes most of us don't need it anymore.
@Cobaltqube, oh I’m sure there’s tons of people that rely on it. When I said it isn’t needed anymore I meant by me. Should’ve been more clear haha.
@Horse Lime, me neither but was thinking of tinkering with it since this thread lol
@Cobaltqube, yeah it’s one of those things that are just such a cool concept and makes you wonder what else can be adapted to work like this. There’s just no real effort by the companies anymore because the demand isn’t there anymore. That phone that I used to have it on,LG Xpression I think, actually had an “email to” or “post to Facebook” button despite it not being a smartphone. I just still preferred the text method.
@Horse Lime, "There's an app for that". Is pretty much the way it all is. Agreed.
This is something I would do. I'd have read the text properly, but I would've done it anyway
How do you NOT read that correctly the first time?
