Who else here is an atheist? I'm not trying to start something, I'm just curious.
@The next plague, *raises hand*
@The next plague, I always just leave it at, "I'm not religious"
@Metzger, im not religious but I dont believen atheism... I dont see how anyone can say that they dont believe in the possibility of there to be a god, but has an absolute faith in science. I believe that both are possible, and NOBODY can know for sure until they die... but thats just me...
@The Lone Guppy, if you can prove that god exist it turns into science.
@The next plague, Let's hope that one person doesn't come along and turn this into WW3.
@Bad News Barrett, yeah, thats a truth, in a way. All im saying is to believe the impossibility of gods existence doesnt make sense to me. As science teaches anything IS possible, and statistics are judged by how many times something happens in a period of time, so if a rock has never ever turned into a pig in the existence of the universe so far, you cant say its absolutely imposible until the universe is over and therefore time ceases. Again im not religious, but I dont try to claim to know for sure if there is or is not a god.
@Agent Washington, I think it may be a little too late, but we shall see, lmao
@Bad News Barrett, you can't prove anything scientifically you can only prove something false
@The Lone Guppy, I don't think its that we don't believe in the possibility but we don't believe that there is one. Well that's my case at least. But that would lean more towards the agnostic atheists
@TORGUE FLEXINGTON, I'm with you, I think it's possible that we were made by a higher power whether it be gods, aliens, or something like that, I just believe that life on earth was a crazy accident by the universe. The simple fact though, is I don't know.
@The next plague, I denounce you heathen! Let His noodly appendages touch your soul! Pastafarians for life!
@GalacticDreamer, see that response right there, thats all I want. But to say you are full blown atheist ticks me off because of the ignorance in it. To simply say none religious makes way more sense to me. I tip my hat to you sir!
@The next plague, I am!
@The Lone Guppy, finally, someone with some sense...
@Captain Britain, why thank ye!
@The Lone Guppy, I think a lot of people are just afraid to admit that they don't know
@Captain Britain, yeah, truly either way we are all afraid. Atheist and religious people alike. Faith falls into both groups, and faith is not a synonym for absolutely knowing.
@The next plague, agnostic, because I don't care either way.
@The Lone Guppy, that is being agnostic. We just don't know man. We just don't know....
@The Lone Guppy, you have defined "agnostic"
@The Lone Guppy, I call myself atheist because while yes, I can't be 100% sure there is no god, It isn't enough of a possibility for me to call myself full agnostic. I've heard the term Agnostic Atheist used for this.
@The next plague, here here
@The Lone Guppy, I am not afraid. Death is nothing to fear because I will not even be able to experience it. It's the state of non existence. Try to think back to before you were born. I don't think you can. I'm an atheist and I don't believe in god because there is no empirical evidence to back it. It there were, then sure, I would consider it. I'm not gonna believe in what-if situations like that or else may as well believe in the possibility of unicorns, dragons, and Santa Claus as well.
@The Lone Guppy, Rocks have turned into pigs...
@Peeves, it's like he hasn't heard of the phosphorus cycle. We all come from rocks! :D
@The next plague, *Patrick voice* is agnostic an instrument?
@The next plague, me m8 r8 8/8 s8 str8
@The next plague, I used to be, well, unsure but I suppose I would say atheist. But through a surprising turn of events I - by my own decision - decided to try letting myself have faith in The Lord, certainly not something I regret! But I do understand the conflict of not having enough evidence for or against God, I've struggled with it before, especially when I've been put through challenging times by Him. I suppose the main reason I am Christian and no longer atheist is because every time that I've struggled but had faith, God has pulled through for me against impossible odds. I do at times still have my times of doubt of course, and having until just a year or so ago been living an atheist I do understand why a lot of people feel that way inclined. Although I hope a lot more people get the chance to experience what I did.
@The next plague, hey um yeah go Christians! Please don't kill me.
@The Lone Guppy, Going with my personal beliefs and that of my friends and family, most Atheists don't believe in god because there is no evidence.
@John Nash, I understand that, but to have alternate beliefs, such as proofs for a big bang do exist. But they only exist as far into the universe that we can see, physics isnt fully known. The only reason im not a full athiest is because in science all is simply theory, nothing can be proven absolutely, until the end of time is here. Also, just think, the big bang (if you believe that) had to create itself, a big arguement against god is what made god, they say the big bang was made simply because it had to be made, the same can be said about god. And you may not be able to prove that god DOES exist but you cant prove that he doesnt. Just think about that. If you cant prove something doesnt exist, and its something as serious as this, why turn your back fully away from it? Again I am not a religious person, simply open minded.
@The Lone Guppy, The difference between that argument is that we know the Big Bang happened.
@John Nash, no we dont, it is STILL a theory, because the things we see as proof of a big bang are only in our small glimpse of the universe. Just because rules work a certain way where we can see doesnt meam its the same everywhere, have you noticed how currents work, sometimes they get real wild, and other times calm, sometimes they make whirlpools, we dont know if we are just in a whirlpool inside of the universe.
@John Nash, also, I do believe in the big bang theory as of now, but why cant we have a god as well, a god that made the big bang happen, one that may have divinely intervened in evolution, and the formation of planets? Of solar systems? Now this part is funky to me but the bible has some weird statements in it that support sciences, that never were thought of until the last century. They werent used in scientific terms, or explained in depth, but still they were oddly accurate. Again not religious, just not hard headed.
@The next plague, does agnostic count?
@The next plague, technically I'm Jewish but that's really more my culture and acknowledging where I come from. In practice, I'm atheist, because I follow logic, and logic and faith rarely coincide.
@The next plague, yo
@The Lone Guppy, I would say it's not so much rejecting the possibility as it is believing that it's very very unlikely.
@Metzger, I know me too. it always seems like atheist is a bad word or something, I don't know why. I guess it just upsets people sometimes
@Luna 5, yeah, true, that's why I just decided to beat around the bush & seem neutral about it, so nobodies' jimmies get rustled
@The next plague, me
Im a Christian and Im proud of it but God lets us have freedom of choice so believe in what you want. I'm not forcing you to do anything.
@TVs Adam West, I don't see why someone would down vote you for saying you respecting others opinions so here is an up vote
@TVs Adam West, Thank you for taking the high road, many Christians seem to miss this. I know I did about 5 years ago, and I lost a few friends because I was so rude and ignorant. It caused me to turn from my faith for quite some time when I realized how I had acted. But I've realized that tolerance is key, and God loves everyone, no matter their choices, so we should as well.
I'm agnostic, which means I'm indecisive as sh!t
@justwastingtime, I'm agnostic in religion and life
I'm anti-feminist too, but I don't hate women, I just hate the fact that there's a party who claims they want "equality " and there name and whole aspect of thinking revolve around women.
Sorry, but if you are a feminist I kinda think your a little sexist.
@Natures Profit, the name was created when women had no rights. Emphasis was on women's rights at the time because of that. Women did not more rights. They wanted equality. Now feminism focuses on both men and women. If a "feminist" is against men, then he or she is not a feminist
@Vriska S, then the name should be changed, because like 60% of all "feminists" I know are crazy man haters that want us all dead, I'm not trying to be mean towards people who actually want equality for women, I just don't think the feminist party has a good name or rep anymore.
Except he's on the internet where women don't exist. Rule #16
If anyone wants to look up some great, well explained arguments and counter arguments on religion, look up Gary Habermas. He gives a great argument for religion and gives other sources to look up to see the atheists' arguments
@TheWordMoist, thanks for the suggestion, It's always nice to hear solid and not hate filled arguments.
Im not religious
Hello there community. It is I snowfrake. I have come down to the deepest part of my depression. I found out that my ex boyfriend have been cheating on me for a year aftet dating for 4 years. I feel soo confused and lost. If there is anyone out there that has gone through this is going through it now please tell me soo I don't feel alone
@Snowfrake , I am a male, but my ex was cheating on me and got pregnant, then tried to put it on me (never had the "opportunity"(not sure if i can say the real word but i have never done that, but back to topic)) The way i dealt with it was to realize i was simply being used as a cover for what they really wanted. I accepted they never felt the way i did and moved on (maybe not that easy for you)
@Cmnder Shepard,thank you for your comments and I hope for you the best
@Snowfrake , oh man I just wrote a huge response that didnt go through... either way though, I have stuggled with a very truamatic situation recently, so I understand what hitting bottom feels like. If you would like to talk, I can comment my email to you, and we can talk until you feel better, or whatever. Just remember friends are a great thing to go to in these times and that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Good luck girl. And remember now you can find someone who truly cares for you, and not waste any more time with someone who would be willing to do that.
@The Lone Guppy, thank you very much for your comments and feel free to suggest your email address to me
@Snowfrake , Tracehargrove@gmail.com is my email, write me anytime and I will try to respond as quickly as possible. Unfortunatly tonight I wont be able to write much longer for I have to sleep to get ready in the morning. But try to think happy thoughts for tonight. I know its hard but put your mind somewhere else until you have someone to talk to. I wish you luck. And I hope that you email me before deciding to do anything drastic... also remember a group of bunnies is called a fluffle :)
I'll ask this here on the assumption that people will be respectful of other's views (i try to be); What does feminism stand for by today's standards ("western world")? My opinion is that they want to play victim when comvenient and more powerful than men. Thoughts?
@Cmnder Shepard, i will also explain my views in depth if enough people care
@Cmnder Shepard, I am unsure of the definition, however I read an interesting article on feminism in "The Wall Street Journal". Apparently a feminist party is becoming very powerful in places like Sweden. They tend to become more extremist the more support they get, some stuff they wanted sounded downright invasive; forcing men to take off time from work. Actually forcing. I encourage you to read it, it's a quick read. (Just google the article)
Jesus teaches us to love and spread his word, not to judge and condemn others for what they do or don't do. We're just as broken as unbelievers, we're all sinners and need jesus in our lives, he loves you no matter what and just wants you to believe in him. Sorry for the long post just wanted to share my thoughts with you guys.
@doratus, I don't know why you got down voted there, but I agree. We all need Jesus; none of us are more or less loved or important than anyone else, whether we believe or not. Keep spreading the love!
@SexyOnnaOtaku, I don't agree that everybody needs Jesus but I agree that everybody could use a peaceful, loving message in general and y'all seem polite I'm also not sure why they got downvoted
I wanna know the logic behind this comparison...

I know they are joking but I'm pretty sure he means he thinks feminism and religion is a joke
So this atheist doesn't believe in most of astrophysics?
I don't know what you guys are taking about. I just yell "Ma! The meatloaf!" And a floating plate of good comes down to me in my basement.
