This happened to me once and it’s was .09/gal.
@RiffRaff, I wish I was that lucky the lowest I have ever paid for gas was 1.10
@CLToasterTurtle, nice... the lowest I’ve paid was 3.79
@Yusuke Urameshi, where do you live and how old are you? .......... That sounds creepier than it's supposed to be...... But seriously, isn't gas cheaper than that even right now?
@CLToasterTurtle, I’ve paid a dollar a gallon before. Looong time ago, I’ll tell you hwhat.
@WelI Obviously, California has insane tax rates on gas
@Depressed Cashier, ahhhhh yea, friggin California
@Yusuke Urameshi, lowest I paid was 0.01, but that’s using fuel saver bonuses from my grocery store.
@CLToasterTurtle, that's what premium was when I started driving. I had a little four cylinder. 10 dollars would last me 2 weeks
@WelI Obviously, yep
@Cloverleaf, hy-vee is the shjt. I really with they would open some stores in stl, because otherwise I can only go there if I'm at the ozarks
@I have a small pen15, Yea, gas went up with food in the mid or early 2000s; 9/11 was friggen nuts - I've never seen a gas line stretch down a road except the next few days after the attacks. People who were born/grew up in the 90s got to experience gas prices between 70 cents and the worst being like $1.10 (those were the prices near me anyways). Before that, like during the OPEC incidents, there were some seriously scary gas situations. Anyways, it got to like $1.80 recently, the first time in like half a decade or something, and it was so nice.
Go buy all of the gas cans they have!
@ThePandaPool , well gas does have an expiration date so maybe like 15 extra gallons
@KowaIski, that'll only last me like a week and a half.
Lowest I ever saw my mom pay was 0.79/gal
@CellSword, I saw her pay .69
@Mario Kart, nice
@CellSword, yeah, only watched though
@Mario Kart, yeah I think I was in the car
@Mario Kart, is that where you both just get 1 lick?
In Canada. 0.70/L (2.60/G) is super low. Average is normally about 1.10/L (4.15/G) in The past year it has gotten up to 1.76/L (6.65/G)
@bearason, it got up to 1.90 last year here in aus
She was was a tiny 18yo who could probably smoke Snoop under the table but the owners were good sports
This usually happens when the employees inside the store make a typo
@abelgray, actually, that’s incorrect. The signs and gas pumps aren’t connected in any way. Prices are changed from a different terminal than the sign, so it was intentional. The reason behind it is still in question, but likely the result of either still an error, or price war between two stations and one got permission to essentially give away gasoline.
Edit: source: I’m a former employee of a gas station.
@BeauTheServiceDog, happened to a co-worker of mine at a gas station when i worked there in high school, she set it to .19 instead of 1.90
@abelgray, it takes two seconds to update, and during a price change, the pumps don’t allow new transactions for a few seconds to ensure there’s no issue. Could be updated systems depending on when this happened to your friend though. Hopefully she realized it and didn’t cost anyone too much money.
@BeauTheServiceDog, It was just somebody's way of quitting in style.
Someone lost their job lol
Someone hates their job, but wants unemployment...
