Anyone who likes horror movies should sit down and play a good horror game. Talk to friends that know your preference and have at it. You won't regret it.
@ThePandaPool , I’m currently playing Until Dawn. MAN what an amazing game.
@Tyler643, I don't know it. What is it for?
@ThePandaPool , horror movies: scary. Horror games: *cries self to sleep*
@ThePandaPool , PS4 exclusive. Has like 1000 endings apparently depending on how you play. Game is heavily influenced by the butterfly effect. It’s a really philosophical horror game it’s like 10/10
@Tyler643, there's another reason I need a PS4...
@A pet named Steve, as usual, you know what's up.
@ThePandaPool , treat yo self, fool
@Tyler643, but on drunken game night Friday, my friends bought over their switch. We played this trivia game where we all had to use our phones/tablets, and I need it now...
@ThePandaPool , Resident Evil 4
@brathosan, I maintain that RE4 is not a horror game. It’s an action game that evolved from a horror series, and happens to be the most widely distributed and played installment of the game. But it has easily one or two scary parts. Everything else is meh in terms of horror. Great game, don’t get me wrong, but not scary. Never was, to me.
@ThePandaPool , You should convince them to get Light Fingers. If you like board games, particularly like Catan, you love it. It’s like Catan meets Mario Party.
@Tyler643, I didn’t know it was that involved. It’s really cinematic though, isn’t it? Like, 100% cinematic, but with choices that you make? Based on that, it just never interested me, personally.
@ThePandaPool , ZombiU, now just Zombi on other platforms, was a fantastic horror game. Really tense, great story, strategic combat, and did mention tense?
@Berntley, well, scary is subjective and horror doesn't have to be scary. But I get your point...
@brathosan, sorry, I’ve got opinions about that game, and where the series went from there. I still think it’s a fantastic game, though. One of my favorites of all time. But as fear factor goes? It’s a 4/10 for me. The original REmake on GameCube reaches like an 8 at times. At least when I was thirteen. REmake 2 is looking phenomenal, though.
@Berntley, Same, one of my all time favorites. I never played the original remake. Are any of the other ones coming to the Switch worth playing?
@brathosan, I forget which ones are. Doesn’t it already have both Revelations games? And then it’s getting 0+1, I think? They’re all worth playing, if you can manage the tank controls. That’s the big issue with even the REmake. Glad they’re bringing two up to speed in that fashion. And the Revelations games were quite different. I didn’t finish two, but that doesn’t make it bad. I just have that habit of picking up and putting down. One is a bit dated, but fun, with a good story. They do bring back a certain horror aspect that was lost in the series for a while.
@Berntley, I already have zombiU, but i'm gonna look into light fingers ASAP.
@Berntley, Yeah, I couldn't get into Revelations. Maybe I'll play 0 and 1...
@ThePandaPool , It’s so good. I played with my wife, brother, and his fiancé when they visited a couple weeks ago. The first game lasted four hours, no joke. And we just fvcking laughed and had a good goddamn time, man. Lots of wine. Not the best idea on my part, because I had work the next day, haha.
@brathosan, Did you look into the second one? It was dynamically different, both with the atmosphere and the gameplay, in my opinion. And I thought the first chapter was free, though that was back when it came out. Now it’s probably all bundled. 0 and 1 are essential, but if you can’t play tank controls, you’re gonna have a bad time.
@ThePandaPool , EVERYBODY PLAY VISAGE! Inspired by P.T. Extremely high quality.
Who doesn’t like a good 45 minute cut scene, am I right?
Halo. Where you have to play the games, read the books, comics and short stories plus watch the videos to know everything that goes on even though a lot of it is contradicted from author to author.
I think it's time for a Song of Ice and Fire game on the scope of TES...
Anyone else just completely lost in RDR2? I love it
