Everything is free in america *sheds single tear with a bald eagle screech in the background*
@coltsgalore45, if you steal it
@coltsgalore45, if you don't mind paying higher taxes. Take it from me. I'm Canadian
@Lonely Monkey Fart, go back to your maple syrup
@Captain Penis, it's winter. Maple syrup is a summer treat. Now it's maple fudge and seal blubber
@coltsgalore45, ill take my capitalism!
@The Vanguard, the big corporations and fat cats thank you
@coltsgalore45, except the girl I asked to prom *sheds tear of sad freedom*
@FancyPenguin, That got dark real quick.
@Lonely Monkey Fart, yeah therefore its not free people don't understand this concept... College is $100 taxes are $100 lays make school free!! Yay now because I pay $200 dollars in taxes I can go to school for free!.. So dumb
@coltsgalore45, FREE TO WHO?
@Lonely Monkey Fart, Worth it!
Better than hillary
@Bob8619, and trump...
@Queef Latifah, Any of the republicans would be better than any of democrats.
@Bob8619, how well did it go the last time a Republican was in the White House?
@D0N RAM0N, Not getting involved in a serious discussion on the matter in this setting. Plus I'm hunting Miles Tails Prower
@Bob8619, ok. (Tip: Wanna let Stuckpixel know that a scammer's on the loose and wanna get him banned. Simple, reply to one of their comments (pic 100k for example), to get their attention)
@D0N RAM0N, How well did it go the last time a Democrat was in the White House?
@BigfootUnibrowMan, How well does it go when anyone is in the White House? As far as I'm concerned there's not a single decent candidate. They're all equally bad. Still above Trump though.
@BigfootUnibrowMan, the deficit is down, gas prices are down, the economy's improved, Obama hasn't declared an unnecessary war and hasn't allowed any huge terror attacks like Bush did
@VaporStrike, I'd rather have Trump, horrible as he is, than a socialist.
@D0N RAM0N, The deficit and gas prices have nothing to do with Obama, yeah he didn't declare war instead he is too pvssy to take any military action to even support long term allies or protect American citizens. And oh yeah Bush definitely "let" those terror attacks happen like he had any control over those tragedies. Like are you fvcking for real? Bush wasn't a good President but at least he had the balls to stand up for his country.
@D0N RAM0N, the nations debt has gotten worse, the president has nothing to do with gas prices, the economy has not improved since are debt has gotten worse, he has declared unnecessary wars, terror attacks have happened since he was in office
@BigfootUnibrowMan, he was warned specifically about Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda months before the attack and ignored the warnings
@Doughnut Boy, debt is total, deficit is annual. Yes debt did go up, but the deficit (which is yearly), has gone down under Obama. Annd, I mentioned gas prices because when they where high Obama's critics blamed it on him. If it was his fault gas prices where high, shouldn't he get credit when they're low?
@BigfootUnibrowMan, presidents are almost never good but I did like how Busch actually appreciated the military
@D0N RAM0N, no he shouldnt be blamed or get credit for either but how is it good that the deficit went down when the debt has still gone up?
@Doughnut Boy, Seriously, Obama wants to make our military so weak it's ridiculous and at the same time that ISIS is growing exponentially as a threat.
@D0N RAM0N, better than this time. And I hated the republican btw.
@D0N RAM0N, gas prices have nothing to do with the President whether they are high or low. And the deficit fluctuates every year for a myriad of reasons, can you name one thing Obama has done to directly influence it?
@BigfootUnibrowMan, yeah I mean I understand we do spend a lot on military and it should be a little less but I like having a strong military
@Doughnut Boy, its not good, but considering he had a Congress obstructioning him its something
@BigfootUnibrowMan, end the Bush tax cuts, decrease military presence in Iraq
@D0N RAM0N, you are so uneducated on this it's frightening. 1 deficit (as percent of gdp - the only way to measure) is up. 2. President has NOTHING to do with price of gas. 3. Economy should be free market. No president should have anything to do with it. 4. We are in more wars now than before. Too many to count. 5. Bush wasn't any more or less responsible for 9/11 than Clinton.
@D0N RAM0N, No terror attacks? What about San Bernardino?
@big freedom, I hate it when people like to say the economy is better and they talk about GDP. GDP is a fvcking joke because it doesn't count for negative numbers
@Commandshark, depends on your definition of huge. It was a terror attack, but nowhere near the magnitude or importance of 9/11
@big freedom, there has to be some regulations in the market. The lack of regulation had a huge part in the recession. Under Obama there hasn't really been another war declared.
@D0N RAM0N, Not as huge, but still inflicting terror in people.
@D0N RAM0N, that's congress job. Care to try again? Presidents job is to enforce laws and preside over military.
@D0N RAM0N, great symantical argument there Hillary. "No 'declared' war" yet we're involved in so many conflicts around the globe - while reducing the effectiveness of the military.
@big freedom, it is. But isn't it a coincidence that most recessions happen under Republican presidents?
@Bob8619, a pebble is better than Hilary
@D0N RAM0N, correlation =\= causation. We typically see the results of a policy years after it's implementation. So by your logic the recession is a result of the Democrat.
@big freedom, you're right. ISIS stemmed partly from the Iraq war years ago
@D0N RAM0N, yes partly. And from withdrawal of troops which left a power vacuum. Conclusion - Bush sucked, Obama took his suckiness and doubled down.
@D0N RAM0N, so since we had less than stellar republican president we should never have a republican president ever again? Where we going with this lol?
@big freedom, then by that logic, Bush is the reason that you hate Obama.
@Captain Penis, how the hell do you come to that? I hate Obama for his failed policies. I hated Bush for his failed policies.
@D0N RAM0N, Ok everyone let's just get one technicality straight as it is bothering me. We have not declared war since WWII; however we have been involved in a military operation almost every six months no matter what political party was in charge.
@Venezuelan Doctor, depends. But if we see a Republican propose the same things that lead to the last recession and expect history not to repeat itself then that would be a fallacy. Hillary's Republican-lite to be honest
@Venezuelan Doctor, technically yes. Vietnam wasn't a war so (technically) the US is undefeated
@D0N RAM0N, hillary is whatever she needs to be at a given momemt. 0 respect for her. I disagree with sanders but at least he believes in something.
@big freedom, yeah politicians suck, no candidate will ever fully live up to his or her promises/what's good for all the people. America is a give/take nation. It just so happens that me and Mr. Ramon fall more under a democratic point of view whereas you fall under the republican point of view (presumably). We will never change our minds by this petty arguing that we are commenced in currently so let's just agree to disagree and just let the future of America be decided through the choices of the people and watch the events unfold. *waving American flag billows over all of us*
@D0N RAM0N, USA USA, but seriously we need to learn that just because we should carry a big stick dosent mean we need to viciously try to club anything that moves.
@Captain Penis, surprisingly. No insults have really been thrown and things have been kept civil
@D0N RAM0N, I agree, I still do not believe this type of discussion blends with the compared dialogue in other sections of this app
@Captain Penis, yeah. But when any political pic is uploaded opinions will inevitably be thrown around. Whether good or bad
@Venezuelan Doctor, couldn't have put it better myself
@Ottiemobile, c'mon, that doesn't help anything
@Ottiemobile, trump does not = Hitler stop fear mongering like the media claims trump does himself. Trump has some less than stellar ideas but also some amazing ones that he should talk about more. He keeps talking immigration because it gets coverage but listen to his ideas about adding tariffs and tax reform. He also fairly "liberal" in his belief that the government owes the people medicare, medicaid, social security etc. since they payed in. The only thing that throws me off is some of his comments on Muslims, but 1) there is an issue considering around 90% of terror groups are Islamic (look it up and provide a source so I can learn from it rather than call me a xenophobe or moron), and 2) a lot of his comments are twisted out of context. Not saying you should or that I even support him, just saying do your own research rather than spouting hackneyed platitudes that so many (trump included to be fair) like to do.
@Venezuelan Doctor, lololololololololololpl
@Venezuelan Doctor, I agree Trump has his moments, but banning Muslims is not the answer, we should be going after the real problem
@Ottiemobile, your valuable contribution to this conversation cannot be understated. Please, go forth and spread your wisdom.
@D0N RAM0N, dude, you're not going to convince any of them. Sadly it seems right wing people will only see bad in whatever anyone else dies and only see good in what their side does.
Mind you I do get annoyed when they say things about hire much they hate socialism, without actually understanding what it is. Like for starters it not being communism, but so many of them think it's the same.
@Captain Penis, thanks for cordial discord. I'm definitely not a republican. I think that people who identify with a party tend to see "their guy" as good, and the "other guy" as bad - even though they both do exactly the same thing. I look at all politicians as something that should be treated like a venomous snake at all times.
@Bob8619, That's not hard
@TheMonkeyGod, left wing people are the same way. All politicians refuse to keep an open mind to issues beyond what their party believes. That's why George Washington warned against parties.
@Knuckles the Echidna, I was speaking about voters.
@big freedom, have an upvote god sir and speaker of truth
@TheMonkeyGod, socialist brings everyone down to lowest level. Capitalism has done more to bring more good to more people than any other system.
@big freedom, see this sort of thing is what I'm talking about. You clearly have no idea what socialism is.
@TheMonkeyGod, explain how my comment that socialism brings society down means I have "no idea what socialism is". I have a great deal of knowledge and education on the subject. Your comment makes me think that you're a doe eyes college freshman who thinks the world should run on rainbow wishes and unicorn farts.
@TheMonkeyGod, one comment has me "speaker of truth, and another has me "no idea". Seems legit
@TheMonkeyGod, I think you don't know what socialism is.
@Knuckles the Echidna, and look where we are now. The whole party system is ridiculous there are politicians that won't vote for a bill because it is from another party and also have you noticed how it is impossible to win presidency unless you align with one of the major parties?
@big freedom, we need to come up with a better version of capitalism , while i don't believe in complete socialism as that doesn't work because of the nature of humanity i do believe we should implement a system where everyone has a chance. To be honest the main thing i want from Bernie is the free tuition. some of the others im not a big fan of.
@Captain Penis, Arguing is healthy and allows you to see other people's views as well as more fully understanding where your own beliefs lie.
@the toast rider, we come up with a better version of capitalism by removing government intrusion. They pick the winners/losers (see bailouts) which completely undermine the entire system.
@TheMonkeyGod, what is your idea of what socialism means? Help me understand.
@big freedom, Exactly. People don't understand that capitalism is completely undermined by government intervention. A lot of the economic problems we have, like health care, could be solved by letting capitalism do its job.
@D0N RAM0N, How well did the country do with a democrat in the White House for the last 8 years? "Hurr Durr, Obongocare. Hurrrrrr"
@Bob8619, Worse than any Republican including Trump
@D0N RAM0N, Bush did 9/11? You're one of those people.... Go back to Reddit!
@TheMonkeyGod, It is defined as a transition state between the overthrow of Capitalism and the realization of Communism. So yeah it isn't Communism but it still involves government regulation on the market and is pretty much communism's little brother.
@4Chan Ambassador , I didn't say he did it. I just said he was warned and did nothing to stop it
@Bob8619, there is no point to even compare the two...
@BigfootUnibrowMan, it went very well for the country actually
@Can yew knot, Haha that's a good one!
@BigfootUnibrowMan, dude don't u know 911 was bush the whole time
@Hakeem, Oh yeah man #dontletyoursteelbeamsbedreamsmakethemintomemes
@D0N RAM0N, dude.... what world do you live in?
I'm not really looking to start an argument... but I'm asking you to check your facts.
The "almighty" Obama has had 8 years to correct all the things that the "Satan" Bush did. With the most executive orders used by any president.... I'm sure he could have done just a little better.
@Queef Latifah, 15 down votes?
@Venezuelan Doctor, thanks wise doctor.
@Ottiemobile, you are welcome take these D!ck pills and multiply *tosses bag on table*
@Venezuelan Doctor, I will use these with great responsibility.*rides off into the sunset*
@Thejazz, No. You check your facts. I don't know where you got the most executive orders "fact" from. The only presidents post World War II that have had less executive orders than Obama have been George H.W Bush, Gerald Ford, and John F Kennedy, none of them served more than a term. The president with the most executive orders has been Franklin Roosevelt with more than 10 times as many executive orders as Obama
@D0N RAM0N, if it feels like you were alone in this debate, I think you killed it and made a excellent case for why Obama deserves a lot more credit than he gets. He turned around a sh!tty economy and I think he has put a reasonable amount of pressure on Middle East threats without getting us into another full blown war that would cost us billions.... all with the maybe the least productive congress in history. Not a bad term a president, especially when compared to what bush did in office.
@Pete Carroll, biased shill says what?
@big freedom, Have you heard of the great depression? That's what happens when you let big businesses have their way. Also, it destroys the environment. Ever heard of fracking?
@Cloyster, lol. Fracking is legal moron. And so was all of the business practices that led to the Great Depression. With crony capitalism, government is bought by the companies who then write the laws that suit them best and stifle competition.
@big freedom, And guess what? It's coming back. With the underenforced law that limits the amount a candidate can receive from companies, that's means that companies with millions to give to people who represent their interest, instead of giving it back. Thanks to "reagenomics" the entire political system went downhill.
@Cloyster, coming back? It's never left. It has gotten progressively worse with each passing term from either a dem or rep as president or controlling congress. The government doesn't have your best interest at heart. They have growing their power and bank account at heart. If you believe that R's are bad and D's are good - or vice versa - you definitely aren't paying attention.
@big freedom, I just want to go back to Eisenhower and Johnson as presidents. Stuff actually got done.
@Pete Carroll, What exactly has Obama done for the economy? Besides signing the TPP behind the citizens' backs.
@CriTiKa1, http://www.dpcc.senate.gov/?p=blog&id=172 this article says that we've had private sector job growth in 63 straight months. Could be a biased source but I think it's hard to deny that a ton of jobs have been created since 2008
@BigfootUnibrowMan, by who? Much of Europe is socialist with no intention of becoming communist. Amusingly China is communist with a newish strong capitalist system. Socialism isn't really politics, but it ties into it. It's more about economics.
@big freedom, hahahahaha, my sides. Yeah us 40+ are so the freshmen. Socialism is about the complete opposite. Is about creating an environment where everyone had the opportunity to succeed. But I'm thinking you believe it doesn't allow for a market environ etc. At its core it does. But it also tries to ensure all people basic needs are met. Unlike capitalism which is basically if you're at the bottom, you more or less get to stay there. Industrial Europe is the hallmark of capitalism.
@TheMonkeyGod, Alright. Now I know that you have no idea what socialism is. If your seriously think Europe is socialist, then you clearly have no idea what it is.
@Pete Carroll, That's nice. Still doesn't make up for the TPP though. In case you don't know, the TPP is a treaty signed by dozens of countries, including the US. It was negotiated by these countries and corporate representatives behind closed doors and will give corporations the ability to police themselves. It also lets oil companies sue countries who stand in their way. Not only that, foreign companies can also legally challenge environmental regulations of other countries. Obama signed the treaty behind our backs. I don't care how many jobs he may have created, this is something that is unforgivable. The people still have time before the TPP is actually ratified. We still have time to stop Obama giving corporations more authority than nations.
@D0N RAM0N, how well did it go thast time a dem was in office? Ronald Reagan was the last great president if you ask me.
@Bob8619, as a conservative I have to disagree
@Magical Miser, That's quite alright!
@D0N RAM0N, those things happened, but they're not a result of anything Obama did. Don't get me wrong he wasn't an awful president (he was no Andrew Jackson) but he didn't do a whole lot other than obamacare which really doesn't work well.
@Ottiemobile, except for Muslims instead of Jews
@CriTiKa1, sorry, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Greenland, Switzerland, Sweden, and a few others are very much socialist. Italy, Greece, France, Austria and a few others are currently under socialist governments. Germany has a lot of socialist policy and infrastructure... so yes, much of Europe. Democracies can be socialist.
@CriTiKa1, it was started by the Republicans under Bush. History is important.
@2ndAmendment, the USA experienced is best years in the past 30 under Clinton. His only mistake was lying about banging Lewinski.
@Cloyster, woah wait.....Johnson.....like LBJ? The LBJ that took Roosevelt ' s arguably good welfare/work and safety net programs and blew them out of proportion.....the LBJ know to be one of the meanest and most condescending men to enter the white house.....the LBJ who we are now pretty sure blackmailed Kennedy to become his VP thus *admittedly puts on tin foil hat* adding another link to his hand in the assassination? I'll pass I am not an LBJ fan.
@Venezuelan Doctor, I only like him because most of the work for the moon missions were created under his presidency
@D0N RAM0N, I'm all for Bernie, but that was a bad argument. Not all republicans are bad. Just bush was a bit of a mistake
@D0N RAM0N, I want to delete my comment I didn't realize how late it was
@Bob8619, HOLY POLITICS BATMAN!!
@Bob8619, all equally bad, different reasons!
@D0N RAM0N, hahaha...
@TheMonkeyGod, They're not socialists. They have social policies, which is different than having socialist policies. If you want socialist policies, look at Mexico's petroleum industry. They have one petroleum company, Pemex, that is owned by the Mexican government. That is a socialist policy, where the government nationalizes markets and controls all the natural resources. A socialist policy is the removal of private property. There is no country in Europe that doesn't have private property. There is no country in Europe that is socialist. You have no idea what socialism is if you think that social policies are he same as socialist policies.
@D0N RAM0N, Hilary is right down there with Trump, as are all of the others. They're all absolute shjt.
@BigfootUnibrowMan, that's not true, obamacare (or romneycare as I like to call it since it was Romney's idea) has helped lower gas prices because now that the lower class doesn't have to worry about healthcare they spend more money on other things
@ajr12100, Omg you really have no idea how economics work do you?
Can't we just agree that they're all awful?
@amsku125, as my dad always says, the presidential race is like 2 prisoners arguing over whose going to rape you
@Doughnut Boy, Haha I like that! Your dad's a smart man.
And a 75% income tax for all
@Awc123awc, thank you
@Awc123awc, not quite.
@DankButt, it's a slight exaggeration but how else does he expect to pay for all of these free programs
@Awc123awc, he's said over and over again he's gonna tax the super rich
@Awc123awc, there are actually other ways to get the money for example we can stop incarcerating minor offenders or stop funding isreals massacre of Palestinians.
@MayITakeYourHatSir, Good idea, punishing people for being successful.
@ archiethesailor, Either we tax them or I'll marry them all, get put in their wills as the soul heir, and then have them all "disappear" in quick succession.
@ archiethesailor, a lot of these successful people inherited their money and recieved bailouts
@ archiethesailor, ah yes I love seeing how successful and productive the Kardashians are. They should keep on keeping on just the way they are.
Trump hate? "HAHAHAHA YEAH! HE'S A BIG DUMMIE" Bernie hate? "OMG STOP, HE TOTALLY KNOWS ECONOMICS AND IS GOING TO MAKE EVERYTHING FREE. DONT HATE OMG RACIST"
@4Chan Ambassador , that's how it looks to me. I see some good things in both candidates but people don't want to look at the good parts of both parties they just like to look at all the bad things of one side and all of the good things on the other
@4Chan Ambassador , that's cause trumps a reality show host running around mirroring the exact rhetoric and ideas of basically all fascist movements in history. People talk about losing their freedom from social programs but this is how it really starts. Learn from history or repeat it.
And who will pay for that?
@ArnoldSchwarzenegrer, TEH EVUL 1 PURCENT. HURRRR REDDIT DURRRR
Free socialism! Because we see how well socialism has worked in the past and how totally not flawed of a concept it is!
@King Millner, Eisenhower's term was more "socialist" than anything Bernie would be allowed to do and the country did just fine
What millennials think Bernie is like...
Yep just 90% tax on your paycheck
If the US would just cut the bloated military budget a little they could afford all those things and leave the taxes where they are
Also free? Losing our great country
@Hipyo, Damn dude. That's good lol
You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means.
Free with purchase.
@FurriesRuinEvrything, *with a small tax increase of 90%*
Money has to come from somewhere bub
But who pays for it
@GrumpyKat, but it's free! Nobody pays for it. *sarcasm
@big freedom, maybe we could cut military spending?
@Pete Carroll, of course we could. Can we also cut welfare spending and stop funding entitlement programs?
It's not free if a have to f**king pay for it with my hard earned money that the government taxes.
*cough* taxes *cough*
With America discussing war on isis, I'd rather not vote a guy into office that wants to completely defund the military and then tax me when I get out of college at 90% of my income
Free - costs are just shifted to taxpayers dollars to pay for everyone to receive these services. In other words, unethical and unfair to put the burden on everyone since it's not anyone's responsibility but their own to achieve things in life.
Bernie: I'm going to pay for this by raising taxes on the 1%
Yall: BUT HOOWWWWW WILL WE PAYY FOR IT
@MayITakeYourHatSir, "HURRR TEH EVIL 1 PURCENT. DURRR DAY HAV ALL TEH MONEYZ" *Bttf Theme* BACK TO REDDIT WITH YOU!
@4Chan Ambassador , Ok...? They do hold most of the money, that's just a fact. Also, I don't know why you're so keen to defend a bunch of trust fund pricks putting their money into offshore accounts and buying nothing American besides politicians but you do you. Go off, as the kids say.
@MayITakeYourHatSir, the good ones already pay a majority of the taxes and the bad ones already hide their money in offshore accounts because they are just bad people *cough* Clinton ' s (and Bush's to be fair probably). Also the top 1% changes regularly. They aren't boogeyman or dragons hording gold coins. The top 10 to 20 percent invest tons of money and those that win end up in the 1% that year and more often than not they lose that money by the next year due to high risk investments.
@MayITakeYourHatSir, because there aren't enough evil 1%
Even if you taxed the 1% at 100% tax rate, it would only find the government for less than a week...
Yeah "free" everything thats why this picture is funny because he wants to give you "free" everything but to fund the free stuff he will have to raise taxes a crap load like the one im taking now
Move along people nothing to see hete
*dies of spelling error
What is he smoking?
@PakaluPapito, other people's money
How to get f'd in America. Free everything.
@SpicyButtrcup, Taxing the 1% 60-75% tax, making them lose a ton of money by raising the minimum wage, and also facing a failing Wall Street. Now everybody will be going to college to train to be employees for nonexistent companies, because all the CEO's went somewhere else.
