@Amazing Amy, first off I'd like to thank you for sharing your loss. I've actually gone through a similar experience a few years ago, when my Nintendo 64 passed away. It was the model that had Pokemon on it and came with "Hey You Pikachu!" Ya, the first game system I ever played. It was difficult to undergo during the first stages of denial. Continuously trying to make my copy of "Super Smash Bros" try to work. But I've moved on, and I'm glad that this community has helped you in your time of need as it has for me. May our lost game systems rest in peace.

@Amazing Amy, My pc's HDD actually started failing two or three days ago. I manage to salvage most of the data I wanted, but not all so far. I have a couple other ideas to get them back before scrapping the drive completely. A new HDD is on its way. That initial feeling of loss, especially regarding my pics and videos, was incredibly strong. I know how you feel, even if only a little.

So guys today is a day of mourning in my house. I'm sorry to bring the mood down from the funny but I love this community and I know I can turn to you guys about this... Last night my PS3 died. It had been getting on in its years and last night it finally gave out. It was a close companion of mine for years, and now it's just gone. Thank you all for providing me a distraction from this horrible loss, it truly will be missed. RIP good friend.
