Nobody reads these. If you're the first person ever to do so, say "Tacocat" in the comments
I can't wait to watch gay divorce court.
@Tiny Zemouregal, *houses gets redecorated and garden comes to life*
@Tiny Zemouregal, first thing I think of is Gravity Falls
I've always gone by the philosophy of "not my bedroom, not my problem", so it doesn't really bug me.
Marriage is like a dick. It's for you and your significant other, and it's not something to shove down stranger's throats
I recognize that in a democratic nation all people should have the freedom to do they wish as long as they're not hurting others. But I still disagree with the parallels this draws with the civil rights movement. What Dr. King fought for was much greater than the ability to marry/have sex with whomever you wish
@CrazyManInaBox, Im sorry not trying to start a fight but I believe this can correlate to the civil rights movement. I think the only reason that you're saying that its not the same type of movement is because Dr. King had to deal with people bombing and killing others just because of their skin color back then, while if that happened now the FBI would be on their a*s, so no this would have not had the same extremes as Dr. Kings movement did. Also I don't know if you're married or not but when you're married you have certain rights that others do not have. So in a way when you go to other states who did not accept gay marriage then who ever is gay and married is no longer legally married in that state, which to me sounds a little like segregation. This is my last point I swear: Before this law was decided yesterday you could have sex with whomever you wished to have sex with
@CrazyManInaBox, I agree. He fought for the ability to use the same facilities and have the same educational opportunities. It was very different.
But seriously, this is one huge step forward for equality. My brother is gay and knowing that he can be happy with the person he loves makes me happy. Like it or not, it's legal. Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I respect that, but I for one think it's great. Good job United States, wave that rainbow flag proudly. Neil Patrick Harris high fives you.
@TheOtherWhiteGuy, 5 people are expressing their opinion
@His Infernal Majesty, and we have no interest in them
@TheOtherWhiteGuy, *majestically waves rainbow flag* my sister's a lesbian, so I'm quite happy to.
@Proactive Citizenry , quite happy to what?
@Toad, to...champion gay marriage.
@His Infernal Majesty, is Satan against gay marriage? Or doesn't he want to burn is all equally?
@Toad, get it on 😉
@TheOtherWhiteGuy, But can't he be happy with the person he loves either way?
@Smokey the Sausage, agreed.
And...? Why do you need to start a war about it? 🌈
I must say, I'm really disappointed in this community. For how many of you who spout about how awesome you guys are, how "accepting" of each other this place is- there sure is a lot of hate for the LGBTQ community in this app. Don't agree with a marriage between two people of the same sex? Don't marry someone of your same sex. Don't agree with people identifying as the opposite gender they were assigned at birth? Don't undergo years of hard work to change your gender identity. Live and let live people. It's really sad that people can have such a negative reaction to love between consenting adults. It's really a shame. Also, if someone else's marriage can diminish and affect your marriage so strongly, that speaks volumes about your relationship- not their relationship.
@CaitiieBuggs, there's hardly any hate against gay marriage here. If anything, there's intolerance for people who don't support it. Its a two way street
@Smokey the Sausage, that is definitely not what I have been seeing, I'm not talking about just the last few hours- but attitudes I've noticed for a while. It seems like far more do people gripe about it, talk about how disgusting/wrong it is, make inappropriate and demeaning jokes, or whatnot than anything else. I have seen an intolerance for people who don't agree with it, but the intolerance is more directed at the issue of trying to restrict rights than actually being gay itself. Like I said, live and let live. There is no reason for there to be such hostility and hate over love of consenting adults.
@CaitiieBuggs, quit attention-whoring. I've not seen a single comment on here "hating" on LGBT people.
@CaitiieBuggs, I'm so glad you said this. After the amount of hurtful, intolerant comments about Caitlin Jenner, I've lost a lot of faith in the community. Thank you for standing up to say what I haven't. It seems that one or two people get to have an opinion and if anyone disagrees, they get kicked out and isolated.
@CaitiieBuggs, have you ever heard of a thing called "confirmation bias"?
Some places are now deciding to not let ANYONE get married, regardless of sexual orientation. Honestly how tacky and childish can you be?
This is one hell of an update. We will either unite or divide.
@PrestonRX, *undergoes mitosis*
@PrestonRX, all those people who didnt pay for premium get to comment now...
@fishlish, *undergoes meiosis*😏
@Quantum Physicist , :O
Well done America!! We don't get much good news about you over here this made me really made me happy today. Huge leap forward for you all. Congrats!!! Love from Europe (more specifically the UK)
@Iraq Obama, Hooray! Other countries are proud of us!
@Iraq Obama, who said this was good news? It sucks
@Iraq Obama, we don't get much good news about America here either. In America. All our news is depressing af. Except for today I guess.
@Iraq Obama, yeah huge leap forward in the direction of destruction
My stance on gay marriage is I don't give a f**k. Do whatever you want. Its your life not mine.
Why does it matter? I don't care what other people do as long as it doesn't affect me
@Wallace R West, there was a vine that was about this and I made the same comment. Then this little annoying girl said I was "irrelevant". I agree with you 100%. Who cares? I am not a homo so I don't need to use a rainbow filter or do some sappy little post. If it was banned in the USA I would not shove it down the homo's throats.
@Jaune Arc, I know of your heroism, though I may be the only one...
I find nothing wrong with homosexual marriage, if you have a problem, go fjck yourself.
@BeardedCactus, For those who aren't accepting of people against gay marriage, go fvck yourself.
@ archiethesailor, go fvck yourself
@Slijkster, For knowing the difference between right and wrong?
@ archiethesailor, yeah, you're wrong and we're right. Now scram! Go back to humanities 101
@Tallest man in world, Now that's just unneededly hostile. Is this the tolerance you gay lovers always spout on about?
@ archiethesailor, gay lovers? You mean freaking humanity lovers. If advising you to further your knowledge of humanity elsewhere is hostile, then I have no hope for you. Not that I had any in the first place
@Tallest man in world, Exactly what I'd expect to hear from you people. The difference between us is that I know the difference between right and wrong. You're suggesting that I go to a biased class with a tainted sense of morality, when instead, I get my morality from the only true objective source.
@ archiethesailor, and to further make you sound like an uneducated ignorant sloth, we believe in rights for all human beings, even if that right is being amazingly idiotic like you have been doing quite extensively.
@Tallest man in world, Isn't it amazing how you idiots don't even know what you are, I can tell that you're an idiot,not just because you're on the wrong side of things, but because all you can do is spout insults instead of arguments.
@ archiethesailor, my poor eyes. I can't do this anymore. Why there idiots in my funny
@ archiethesailor, didn't you guys lose today? Nothing left to argue about because your negative opinion isn't valid anymore. And I'm insulting your stupidity, yes. You are correct in that. I hate nothing more than stupid people.
@Tallest man in world, Not valid anymore just because the supreme court made the wrong decision? Things can be changed you know.
@ archiethesailor, Freedom. A word used by Americans for hundreds of years as their single favorite right of our great country. Entitled in freedom is equal rights for all, or, freedoms for all without discriminating based on race, preference, or ideals. Based off our constitutional rights, if a women and a man can marry, so can two people of the same gender. I'm done here *drops the mic on your ignorant ass*
@Tallest man in world, education at its finest
@BeardedCactus, Wait, you guys claim to be about the freedom to have your own opinion? But by that you mean, "let us have this opinion and if you disagree you're an ignorant douche bag?"
@ archiethesailor, can't upvote you enough haha
It's been less than one day, let people celebrate without getting your jimmies rustled!
@CaitiieBuggs, looks like you rustled some jimmies there.
@Slijkster, I see I did, haha. I feel so powerful to have rustled jimmies over such a comment.
Throughout the whole day I was wondering what all the hype was about until now. I just got the word that it was legalized everywhere lol 💃 I'm a litttttttttle late
Still not a good thing. If anything, it should have been left up to the state
@ archiethesailor, it should be left up to the state whether or not you should be abandoned on an island. 47 states in favor of this notion
What it comes down to now is individual respect for marriage. Is your pastor marrying gay couples? Each group has to have individual accountability.
Can we please just stop hearing about it? I've seen enough of it on Reddit...
For me this wasn't a huge celebration but a huge relief. It's probably because I'm from MA and live in a town where there are lots of lgbtq people out. Nonetheless, this is a huge victory for equality in the U.S.
No starting stupid wars on here
Did I miss something... Or, what?
@ThatOneWolfDog, Gay marriage was legalized nationwide in the U.S.A. Today
@ThatOneWolfDog, Gay marriage is legal is the US now
@dammitdale, Ah, I see.
@dammitdale, like it always should've been
@dammitdale, well, at least now we can have true equality and freedom in all 50 states. Some people will still ridicule gay couples, sadly.
@sauske , the world is such a cruel place
@sauske , apparently we have someone who disagrees with this
@BennyJet, theres 5 people that are expressing their disapproval right now
@gettinitfosho, it doesn't seem like this app to be against gay marriage, but you never know I guess
@sauske , true equality my as$
@Gilman22, well f***k u
@sauske , now that's true equality :-)
