If they’re “non essential” shouldn’t it not a government job in the first place?
@big freedom, #abolishparkrangers
@big freedom, #abolishcoastgaurd
@big freedom, #abolishATF
@liberachi , yes, no, yes.
The coast guard is actually one of the few things that the government is allowed to do according to the constitution. ATF is a fûcking statist authoritarian disaster. Park rangers should not be federal employees
@big freedom, what’s wrong with park rangers being federal employees if parks are federal land?
@Baby Cthulhu, the federal government is a giant bloated bureaucracy. It could absolutely be outsourced to a private industry.
Federal highways aren’t built by federal employees.
@big freedom, to add to this specifically for park rangers and land...one shouldnt have to pay for upkeep on land they do not own...furthermore...it should fall to the state(s) to provide funds for upkeep to said lands. There are way too many things that federal govt. is involved in that should be kept at a local level.
@MMSieBreeze, right. But when state or local governments add a tax to cover things ppl lose their shjt. It shouldn’t be the tax funded federal govt to pay for things, but the tax funded state to pay for it.
@big freedom, hey words are hurtful you know.
@Baby Cthulhu, the federal government isn't actually supposed to own land outside of DC operations.
@MMSieBreeze, I'd like to see the parks turn into public companies that have shareholders who instead of recieving dividends have to pay dividends for holding the stock.
@PoliticalOtters, I remember seeing a CGP Grey video on federal land. Very interesting
@Baby Cthulhu, They own wholly too much. Jefferson talked about how a travesty was occurring when there is habitually impoverished Americans and land left unworked. 2/3 of the land west of the Mississippi is federally owned and most of it isn't being used to benefit people.
@big freedom, In the coast guard, please don’t shut us down again
@liberachi , you know the same democrats that are in office, that are not voting for the 260 miles of Wall, voted for 300 miles of Wall in 2013 under obama.
@rezd, thank you for your service, fellow coastie
Trump is being like a bratty toddler holding his breath till he gets what he wants
@benderama, lol then he’s exactly like you
@big freedom, Benderama can be a bratty toddler all he wants, he isnt the most powerful man the country and arguably the world
@K1l, the people knew what Trump was when they voted for him. The fact that Trump Derangement Syndrome has reached the level that is has makes me laugh. I didn’t vote for him, but wanted one thing to come out of this administration: people should stop looking to the government to solve their problems, and stop giving the office of president powers that you wouldn’t want someone like Trump to be able to wield. If you wouldn’t want him to have it, don’t give it to anyone.
@big freedom, I kinda agree with you there. I feel like his presidency will have one of two effects on future elections: either his presidency will make voters realize we should be more careful about who we elect, or it’ll have the opposite effect and the most extremely left leaning politician will be elected in spite of him, and the next election will have the reverse and so on.
This is kinda going off on a tangent but I think that’s a reason why we should abolish the party system. I feel like Trump was elected because he was politically the exact opposite of Obama and im afraid that’ll keep happening because of party loyalty.
@K1l, exactly. My wish is a bit naive. People are becoming more entrenched in ideology rather than waking up. Tribalism.
@benderama, you know the same democrats that are in office, that are not voting for the 260 miles of Wall, voted for 300 miles of Wall in 2013 under obama.
@K1l, kinda hard to abolish the party system.
@benderama, Yeah, such a brat for trying to fix our border issues and give his supporters what they voted him in for. Idk... I thought it was a good thing to stand up for what you think is right? But in progressive America you shouldn’t stand up for your beliefs, you should instead subscribe to the NPC group think if you want to get anywhere.
He didn’t accomplish what he wanted and look what the news outlets are saying now? Hurr durr he’s a quitter huehuehue.
How about shutting down the government... permanently?
Maybe if the dems were willing to actually comprise instead of being a bunch of pricks just because they hate trump...
@MMSieBreeze, Maybe Trump shouldn’t have created the situation in the first place.
@MMSieBreeze, dude no. Republicans had house and senate for years and suddenly the dems control the house and its their fault he can’t build a wall? His own party didn’t want to deal with it so they waited for a scapegoat.
@nepheal, from what I’ve seen, the wall is really a big waste of (tax) money. It does send a message but the cost for building and maintaining something that is essentially not gonna help with illegal immigration something that is not worth doing. Believe me, I’m against illegal immigration but a wall is not gonna stop them.
Plus the tax dollars from the wall could be used in other means, or just left in the pockets of Americans
@Baby Cthulhu, a wall is super dumb and the upkeep alone, assuming it does get built would be stupid expensive.
@nepheal, i dont remember mentioning a wall first of all....second, the republicans who held the house then are as much at fault as the dems who now hold. They are all shjt sticks that need to be fired. Pelosi is a fvcking retard and schumer is a fvcking nazi...and they held out waiting for the media to point the middle finger at trump so theu could make him look like hes the reason that the govt. Was shut down for so long when in fact he said he was willing to compromise.
@nepheal, so naive. You realize we have hundreds of miles of barrier along the border already? Nobody and I mean NOBODY actually wants a gigantic continuous “wall” along the border. What we do want is for the border to be protected and for our government to stop lying to us and blaming “the other side”. Both parties are completely to blame and could have fixed the problem in about 3 hours if they wanted to. But the issue is more important than the solution.
@big freedom, I do and I have no issue with increased border security. Shutting down for so long because of a wall is dumb. Too many ppl suffered because of political pettiness.
@MMSieBreeze, it's nice to see some of the checks and balances actually doing their part with regard to the president. Funny how it happens right after midterms...
@big freedom, you know the same democrats that are in office, that are not voting for the 260 miles of Wall, voted for 300 miles of Wall in 2013 under obama.

@nepheal, the Republicans may have owned the house and senate but that doesnt mean trump wasnt being obstructed by cucks in his own party.
@Baby Cthulhu, dude 58% of illigal immigration goes over the wall.
@big freedom, i want a wall and we have hundreds of miles of border that have no wall. Whats the point of having any wall if theres i giant ass gap in the middle.
@K1l, I don’t think Trump is capable of creating a unstable border, I gotta be honest
@Baby Cthulhu, If you read anything outside CNN you’d know that it was a lot more than a wall
If this is following the correct template for this meme, are they saying that never shutting down the government is the dumbest option?
Not having a government?
Attica! Attica! Attica!
