Canada fvck yeah
@Bad Boi Jesus, coming again, to save the mother f*kin "Eh" yea!
@TheRealDrummerBoyASD, both of you are great.
@Ginger Incorporated, that was equivalent to hearing and/or feeling the pattering of your dog's feet in the other room after you call it
@The Real Grim Reaper, are you calling me a dog?
@Ginger Incorporated, no. I was saying hearing that was equivalent to hearing some good bois running towards you. And besides, why would anyone be offended being called a good boi?
@The Real Grim Reaper, i could think of a couple of reasons but as long as it was in good taste then we good.
Nuclear is the way to go. A lot of power from very little fuel, and it's pretty clean.
@Branded, if only America let nuclear power plants be built/repaired/refit....
@talmet, coal and fossil fuels are bad, but nope you can't use a clean alternative. I guess they want us to harvest unicorn farts for power. Solar and wind are clean but not very effective/ efficient for large scale.
@talmet, I mean, we are building about 4 new reactors right now (two of them are at an existing plant near where I live). The biggest issue is that we don't recycle the waste and leave it in concrete cylinders doing nothing.
@Branded, Hydro-Quebec is cheaper
@WifitheRouter, I live in New England and we already had 1 shut down and have another one shutting down by 2019. 3rd one is licensed to run until 2030.
@Fearless Fapper, hydro is nice and our area is trying to buy power from hydro-Quebec but so far it hasn't gone through as far as I know.
@Branded, I live about an hour from plant vogtle in Georgia and they're in the process of building their third and fourth reactors
@Branded, and if it fails, we get to save settlements, shoot ghouls, and be legends in the wasteland. It's a win-win
That is a can-du kind of attitude!
bUt CaN THEy dO ThIS!? *leans back in chair all the way*
@cool pigeon, I bEt yOU cAnT
And our idiot liberal governments want to use solar and wind instead
Canada just does everything right
I bet it's run by a bunch of Mr Meseeks
They are actually designed to run on naturally occurring, unenriched uranium. The enriched uranium from decommissioned weapons is very high (over 80%) in fissile uranium, but the candu reactors use fuel that is less than 1% fissile. You could probably use the weapon grade stuff, if you "diluted" it, but the system was not designed for that - the exact opposite is true.
In the event of a reactor meltdown, the word "Sorry" is blared politely over the PA system for the next 24 hours.
It's the Mr. Meeseeks of nuclear plants
And the facility is run by a bunch of me. meeseeks. CAN-DU!
And they use them for white flags. Such a waste
Good ol' Canada
Thorium reactors ftw!
