They had the most misleading name and ad campaign in all of human history...
@cruss4612, and it f*cking worked too

@MCPON John 117, and they trolled us like eight times in a row!
Entire marketing and operational strategy from day one:
1) Sex sells, even misleading, irrelevant sex
2) The internet is for porn, which makes 1 relevant
@Cdr William T Riker, and we’ll throw in a hot, open wheel, “breaking gender barriers” IndyCar driver as our spokes person for good measure.... everyone thoroughly confused now? Good! Mission accomplished! Bring us those profits!
Wow, I submitted this two years ago and it's just now uploaded?
I don’t think anyone actually knows what godaddy.com is but I’d say most ppl would assume it’s some kinda porn and judging by their commercials that’s exactly what they want ppl to think
@bobbylupo, It's a hosting site.
@Jdrawer, idk what that is
@bobbylupo, It helps other websites stay online
@bobbylupo, Think of it as a digital real estate agency.
@Jdrawer, can you break it down even more? I thought they just designed websites.
@MetalHeadTony, to put it a little more basically, websites are data. Hosting companies are basically just huge servers that rent space to website owners to store that data in a way that allows others to access it. You could theoretically do the same thing from a private computer or server, but any time you turn the computer off or lose connection in any way, the website wouldn't work until your computer and connection are back online. Web hosts often offer guaranteed up time and redundant back ups and such.
@Otis McBeast, this is the standard for how to break shjt down. Thank you for the great reply.
@MetalHeadTony, Thanks man. I strive to be a useful person when possible haha
