@Average Canadian, keep us updated, im not religious either but ill still pray for her and hope she pulls through. Not to disrespect anyone but i dont see why even though you arent religious or not christain that you cant pray just in case. I really hope people here stick to their word and atleast keep her in mind because were a close community here and if someone posts for help then a word is all you have unless youre an immature troll. I really will pray and keep her in mind and i know others will too, keep us updated though! Because were here for you if something happens

@Average Canadian, it takes a great man to stand by his girl at a time like this. When my best friend's dad died, her bf couldn't handle it and dumped her, so believe me when I tell you, you have my full respect. My prayers go up for her, her family, and you as well because though you try to be strong and focus on her, things like this do take an emotional toll on the family/close friends. Please keep us posted.

@Average Canadian, hey guys, this might seem like common sense or whatever, but just throwing this out there. I don't usually "add to favorites" but I've favorited this one, that way I can get to it easily and check for updates, and I'm sure I'm not the first to think of this, I just wanted to throw it out there as a suggestion.

@Average Canadian, every time I see a post like this I want to be such a troll, but I can't because people take it so seriously. All I want to respectively ask is for all of you people to take these posts to social websites and not the comments section of an app which is supposed to make you laugh. I hope I don't offend anyone, but I would still like to vent my annoyance.
-
@Gavin, No. His girlfriend is in the hospital. He says by some miracle, the treatment worked. Because that's what he beleives in. But you have to be one of those assholes who brings everybody down. You obviously have no respect for other people's beleifs. Don't beleive me? Check your 80+ downvotes. You should be a man and apologize to him.
-
@Frosty Nipples, you're confusing my different beliefs for disrespect. You should be a man and not go insulting people before you even know their intentions. I'm not trying to bring anyone down. I was only trying to make him realize that hey, maybe the doctors did a good job and THEY deserve some praise. A different opinion does not always imply disrespect.

@Samuel Fey, I'm going through the toughest time in my life. I can't talk to anyone about this and I know people are out there that will pray for someone's life. If this is considered an annoyance to you, politely leave this community. You have offended me greatly. I didn't do it for Upvotes. I did it because I want the love of my life to keep on living. Hope you feel awful.
-
@Gavin, I don't blame you. The doctors told her to her face that there was very little to no chance the treatment would have a positive effect and it did. That 1% chance happened to my love and I call that a miracle. I praise the doctors for performing the treatment, but something else comes into play with those odds.
-
@Average Canadian, well regardless, I would still apologize for any confusions. I did not mean to offend you in anyway if I had. I'm an atheist myself, and I live in an extremely religious area where I get persecuted for it all the time. I have different beliefs from most around me and I am constantly belittled and told how wrong and stupid I am for it. It just becomes frustrating... I'm sorry if I had offended you, it was nothing towards you.
-
@Average Canadian, im just stating my opinion here and i dont mean to offend you but this is the internet and i dont know if this is real or not since all the details are blurry. But why post it here i mean whats the difference between you praying by yourself or a hundred others if your god listens to you im pretty sure he heard you the first time.
-
@Average Canadian, all jokes aside it's beautiful to see so many people who share different beliefs, ban together to give a fellow user hope. I pray she gets better, keep us updated please! Whether it's God, Buddha, Allah, or the great pasta monster, our gods will hear the many prayers from the funny pics community.
-
@Average Canadian, While I will agree that this is a 'community' it is one which is meant to be centered around hilarity, I will not leave over one disgruntle either. I can offend you a lot more if I wished and have censored myself a lot with that post. In fact, I had to re-write it a few times just to be the least offensive. I never said that you did it for the up votes, I said that this place is a place of comedy and humor, not reality and hardship. I do not feel awful what so ever.

@Gavin, what kind of sick god would give someone a sickness just to cure them? Is he toying with her? Surely if he is all powerful and all knowing and loves all of us he wouldn't play with our health as if he were a bored school child. If he hasn't cured her so far why would he do it after receiving prayers, especially since he gave her this condition in the first place.
-
@Average Canadian, let her browse funny pics. Laughter is the best medicine. A broken spirit can kill faster than a germ you know. Give her something to take her mind off the long road ahead of her. What's her name, I will keep her in my prayers. You should also post her phone number so the rest of the community can test her positive things to keep her spirit her. I'm being serious no jokes here.

@Gavin, flippin hell i finally read all the replies. Ok so I am not sure about anyone else Gavin but it now just depends on how someone takes/reads your original comment. Based on what I was first receiving, your comment was putting down Average Canadian's belief/hope. I really hate it when people do that. Although I do like hearing other's opinions, its something that sets off the reason I am nicknamed "Rage". Sometimes I should think before I act. More than that, I prefer to make sure I have my facts straight. Regardless, I am just an angry S-O-B who likes to rage. You just happened to be in the line of fire.

@Krypteia, It made me feel more at ease knowing that if there is a god out there that he would be receiving prayers from all of these people. I'm not religious either, but it helped put my mind at ease and it helped us get through it knowing that people from everywhere were praying for her. Hope is a strong thing.
-
@Average Canadian, well if God did exist and knew everything then it seems like he would already know you wanted her healed. So the praying was unnecessary, I mean it was anyway but still. And you hoping, or anyone outside of the person involved hoping does absolutely nothing. All you're doing is thinking to yourself
-
@Krypteia, Look. I'm an atheist too. I don't believe there ever was a god or is ever going to be a god. Knowing that people from all over the world are sending positive energy towards the situation helps put a person's mind at ease when they think the love of their life is going to die. If you can't agree with that then I won't put anymore time into this discussion.
Unrelated but can I ask any of the Christians on this app to pray for my girlfriend? She is in the hospital and by a miracle her treatment worked but we still have a long way to go. I love her and I'm really scared. Thank you for any good wishes that you send her way. You guys are awesome. Thank you.
