@Charlemagne, this issue depends on the timeline of the relationship. Like personally I dont care if my girlfriend goes through my phone but then again we've been dating for 2 years. If it was only a few months i wouldn't want her on it. Also if i were to have tried getting on her phone at the few month mark she would've flipped too so its also to prevent hypocrisy by not allowing them on your phone

@girlnamedlime, I don't think it's necessarily hiding something, but more like a respect of privacy. You should trust the other person to not have to go through their phone. Or you know, you can just ask. Having a conversation about trust issues is better than just jumping into the fray.

Someone that intent on not having their SO have access to their device is questionable. Truthfully, if this were even to happen (his SO's friends trying to help in grabbing his phone) this guy has way bigger problems that are completely unnecessary and draining. This relationship would be going no where fast and ain't nobody got time for that. Sigh. I remember the days when gifs were just gifs and we laughed and laughed.
