I'm still curious to what it is.. i mean if I'm it, what's it ment to be
@Tis but a scratch, The term "it" was forged by grammar scientists to serve as a placeholder for some earlier referenced object. Much like a fading celebrity, "it" has nothing meaningful to contribute on its own and thus must leech off other words in order to gain relevancy.
In regards to Tag, "it" is the designation given to the person who has the responsibility of tagging another person. Think of "it" as a title, like "Assistant to the Regional Manager" or "Guardian of the Galaxy."
To this day scholars debate why "it" was selected to identify the individual tagger. Ancient manuscripts suggest that the word's length, rememberability, and all-around popularity may have been contributing factors leading to its adoption.
However, one fact remains beyond reproach, that all of those hand-picked by their peers will grow to understand, heavy is the head that wears the crown.
