Why would you want anything other than the Garand. It's amazing!
@ThePandaPool , they got tired of losing their thumbs evertime they reloaded
@JewishXenu, but the sound it makes is GLORIOUS
@JewishXenu, if that happens to you more than once, you shouldn't be holding a gun.
@ThePandaPool , indeed. As Patton put it, the M1 Garand is the quintessential battle rifle. I’m confident in saying that it literally saved the free world.
@RepostSniper, it's my favorite rifle in my collection. Even over my AR10 and Vepr.
@ThePandaPool , I envy you
@RepostSniper, it's worth the money. My biggest regrets are that years ago I could have gotten a Thompson for 1100, and a Dragunov for 1200. Cant make those prices anymore...
@ThePandaPool , regarding the Thompson, are we talking pre-1986 manufacture (so fully automatic NFA transferable) or a semi-auto only replica? Either way $1100 ain’t bad, but if it was the former, my heart breaks for you, lad.
@RepostSniper, I'm in ny so the former isn't an option. I dont have a ffl and I'm not police or military. It was an origional, but rebuilt semi. Honestly the dragunov is the big hit to me. I'm all about long range semi autos with moderate kick.
@ThePandaPool , gotcha. Hopefully you’ll come across more good opportunities like that in the future. Either way, it’s pretty cool to hear from an avid gun owner from NY.
@ThePandaPool , typically prefer a Mauser, kar98, mosin, mg42 or fg 42 when it comes to ww2 era guns. But the Garand is solid
@FPVeteranWolf, had a Kr98. Nothing really special about it.
@ThePandaPool , that’s how i feel about my mosin, but I still love it to death
It's kind of, not kind've.
@Doctor Yak, Should of done alot more reading.
This entire "the Soviets sent people into battle without guns dood they're so evil" meme is literally just based off when the Soviet soldiers would try to break out of the encirclement pockets early in the war, they couldn't get more guns when their guns broke or malfunctioned because they were encircled
