@myusernameistaken, it looks like what PS3 had a while ago. There was a game that loaded a character and you had pieces of paper that once the camera saw them it would let you interact with the character on the screen.

Had a demo of this at my school... Not pokemon but the device.

I've seen this. It's a glass pyramid sort of thing these people made that projects hologram like images in it. They made a way for people to use it to sorta video chat with their whole body in a full 3D image.
