That's legitimately what I thought it was saying until I saw the meme
Inconvenient truth: border security is not related to racism, and the accusation is a stretch of assumption
FunnyPics: "I wanna smash some immigrants"
@MrTrivia, ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )
@MrTrivia, well helloooo
What if this was by design, so they could market to both sides of the issue?
@Rathalos, as a Conservative, I can speak for a majority, we don't want racism and we aren't against immigration. We are against ILLEGAL immigration. Kind of tired as being called a racist because I am not liberal and have differing values
@Osama bin Dead, My dad is a first generation Filipino immigrant. He came over to the USA alone when he was 8 because his mom had already been here a couple of years. He's also a hardcore Republican against illegal immigration.
@Osama bin Dead, I always find that the people that say they're against illegal immigration and support legal immigration don't really know how tough it is.
@UlyssesEverettMcgill, it is still the law, it is unfair to cheat the system and cut in front of all the people waiting to get in legally
@Osama bin Dead, but the people that come here illegally don't have all those years it takes to wait. Their families might not survive. They don't do it for the sake of breaking the law. They do it because their families need them to
@UlyssesEverettMcgill, it doesn't matter, it is still illegal and unfair. If we just allowed anyone to come here, who knows what type of parasites we would have lurking all over the place. ISIS wants in here just as bad as the immigrants you just described
@Osama bin Dead, I agree. I just wish the system wasn't so fvcked. I was born in the US but my parents came here illegally and as soon as they got here they applied for their green card. They applied in 1996 and barely got it in 2015.
@UlyssesEverettMcgill, @Osama bin Dead, This so perfectly encapsulates the issue. One side places priority on rule of law while the other empathizes with those dealing with a overburdened and slow system. Neither side is wrong so much as sees it from different perspectives.
@UlyssesEverettMcgill, I understand the waiting periods are ridiculous, it's like that with every government organization. They just suck at what they are supposed to do. I can't respect that your parents came here illegally, but I can respect the fact that they applied for a green card, when they had every opportunity not to
@Phace Jones, I know. It is just such a wishy washy topic to discuss, and I hate talking about it, but we have to be logical and reasonable about it
@Osama bin Dead, I see where you're coming from but it's almost financially impossible to pay tens of thousands of dollars to complete the legal process. The wages in Central American countries are way too low. In the end they just want what's best for their family.
@UlyssesEverettMcgill, I get your argument, but there are sooo many people who hate us, especially ISIS who want to come here and slaughter us like lambs. There is a line in the sand where we put Americans first. That should be the main focus before allowing more people in
@Osama bin Dead, let's just agree to disagree. Great debate bud.
@UlyssesEverettMcgill, for sure, that was a good, clean, sensible debate
@Osama bin Dead, I know I'm here a bit late, but I want to point out that immigrants aren't dangerous. Almost all terrorists who act in the US were born here and in addition, the screening process we have (and have had for a while, this isn't really trump's doing) is actually really good at keeping out dangerous folks (and, as mentioned, wasting an @ssload of applicants' time and money)
@Depressed Panda, I'm not saying immigrants are dangerous, but there will always be a wolf in the flock. Just look how it turned out for Germany and Belgium, although they were refugees. If anyone wants to migrate to the U.S., they must be screened. We also need stronger security on the border. That is how the worst of the worst people get into our country. Let me emphasize again, I am not against immigration in any way, shape, or form. I am for logical immigration that keeps wicked people out of the country who want to kill Americans
@Depressed Panda, *looks at increase in illnesses that were pretty much non existent in the united states.* seems legit.
@Osama bin Dead, How the hell do wolves fly?
@SimonPetrikov, My dad's the same. He came from Mexico when he was 14 and he's in favor of Trump's border wall.
@Jdrawer, they huff and they puff and therefore produce lift
SUPER SMASH IMMIGRANTS... MELEEEEEEEEEEE!
As a smashed immigrant, I can confirm this.
Well, don't mind if I do!
This one is extra sweet because it totally reverses the meaning!
Well if you insist
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
MOTHER OF EXILES. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
