Ricky Gervais makes me cheer
Ricky: “Don’t use this time to make a political speech”
Celebrities: *makes political speech*
@Snarfel Burger, what, you want actors to improvise new speeches and throw out their prepared ones? That's cute
@Page 394, or cut out the political part. No one is making them give long-ass speeches and almost no one wants to hear them. Just go up and say, “thanks” not hard.
@Snarfel Burger, oh I agree. If they're gonna have a political thing in there, ok, nobody can stop that, but I think just designate one speech of the night for that. Speeds everything up and let's people spend more time on genuine thank you's.
This is perfect
Most of it fell flat to me tbh. There were a couple good quips, but I didn't think it was all that. People are probably just shocked that he was making insult jokes and never mentioned trump.
@ThePandaPool , nah you're right. It was pretty hack. I don't know what people are celebrating.
@ThePandaPool , you're most likely correct. However it was a refreshing change to hear a comedian go after all the Hollywood elite, rather than our president.
@SeelenVerKaufer , true. I didnt hate it. Just didnt think it justifies the attention it's getting.
I'm soooo glad I looked this up. My gosh! The last line with Harvey Weinstein made my jaw literally drop
