@A pet named Steve, do we need to have a talk?
Somehow it doesn’t strike me as particularly intelligent to declare the most successful people in your nation to be enemies of it. Especially when you’re proposing a massive change to the country and are planning on funding it at their expense.
@I Are Lebo, dont see why not, sure there are successful wealthy people that dont deserve death but they are few compared to the many "successful" billionaires who profited of a system that enriches themselves while majority starve, that's not a democracy that's an oligarchy. I come from a country that happily deposes oligarchs and celebrates freedom, I guess we dont come from the same place
@Ezethrell, what you just said is entirely nonsensical. Someone who fronts the risk of beginning and operating a business is not doing so to benefit the majority. That’s not the purpose of business. As for majority starving, that doesn’t apply to ANY first world nation. Maybe this applies to the Arab Emirates where the caliphates have golden Ferraris, but not to the USA.
As for that not being a democracy, clearly you don’t understand what you’re talking about. Democracy isn’t an economic system, it has nothing whatsoever to do with income inequality. An oligarchy is NOT when there are some massively wealthy people and others are poor, that’s called Capitalism.
You would really benefit from educating yourself because that comment was massively ignorant.
@I Are Lebo, "Oligarchy: : a government in which a small group exercises control especially for corrupt and selfish purposes". Per Websters. Ezethrell's definition was not technically correct, however our current reality does reflect an Oligarchy hiding beneath the guise of a capitalist democracy.
@RedKel23, no. What he said was incorrect because the business owners are manipulating the government. They aren’t running it. There’s a meaningful difference there. Much of what we as the public see as corruption in politics is actually just beurocratics at work.
The way politics is set up in the USA right now is broken and billionaires are taking advantage. It was not designed with this in mind.
@RedKel23, also, the point I was making is that if you start making an enemy out of billionaires while simultaneously stealing their money, they’re going to leave and take half your economy with them.
Easy to forget how many people are employed by billionaires.
Make public executions fun again.
@Lord Maximius, they never stopped being fun. They just stopped being public.
Let the hugs commence.
@ChessBobPhil, i cant believe i am going to say this but i think what it is trying to say is the guillotine is hungry for billionaires
@Vegeta the God, nah, those are hugs bro.
*people of wealth
Can they do me while they are at it?
@Barry Dylan, are you a rich billionaire?
