Kan ye not?
How much awkwardness in one picture
Meh kinda silly joke. Trans have it hard enough. Kanyes mum died which sent him into depression so sorry to be a kill joy but it's not funny to me
Bruce Jenner looks horrible in a dress. there. i said it. if that offends you, change your tampon.
@mrstirfry99, I'm not offended I just think you're an ass.
@mrstirfry99, think what you will about Bruce/Caitlin that's fine... But "change your tampon"? Really? It doesn't matter that it's offensive, but it is incredibly rude to pretty much any woman.
@mrstirfry99, Somebody's on his period
@mrstirfry99, why do you feel it's necessary to express your negative opinion about someone else. She doesn't do a whole lot. If people wanna call her whatever that's their business and what effect will talking badly about her have besides maintaining incredibly meaningless contrary opinions and perhaps hurting the feelings of whoever you are making a negative statement about. There's better things to talk about.
For example: "i smell fish and i don't know if it's me or you" - a gay fish 🐟
@Runnin with scissors, you mean "him" and "his." Facts don't care about anyone's feelings.
@mrstirfry99, gave you an upvote because it was comical. Dont get why everyone feels the need to be offended nowadays. Make fun of a president, movie star, or average joe and nobody gives a dam. But attempt humor on whatever the current issues or debates are about and everbody pounces on you like white on rice
@AngeredSportsFan, Yeah, but that raises the question of whether you should make jokes that punch down rather than up.
@Jdrawer, You absolutely should. I don't want to meet a person that can't laugh at themself. Those people suck.
@AGreasedMonkey, Punching down isn't laughing at myself, though.
@Jdrawer, If you're talking about a joke at your expense, teasing, or just bing made fun of, it's absolutely laughing at youself. I'll go back and fourth with friends & family.
@AGreasedMonkey, That's not what punching down is.
@Jdrawer, Fine, enlighten me.
@AGreasedMonkey, A punch down is "the opposite of punch up - to make a joke at the expense of the less powerful or more oppressed group."
@Jdrawer, Huh, that's one of the dumber things I've heard. Jokes are harmless. If your feelings become more important than the person's intent to make people laugh, that's your problem.
@AGreasedMonkey, If you think jokes are harmless, then you've either never heard an unfunny joke or you're unaware of how normalization works. Validation is key in systems of hate or oppression.
@Jdrawer, Just because you don't like a joke doesn't mean it's not funny. It's just not for you. I've heard plenty of jokes that aren't for me. I've also been able to shrug them off without throwing a fit. It's a free country. People have the freedom to tell jokes you don't like, you have the freedom to walk away & ignore it, and I have the freedom to tell you to stop being a whiney bjtch... So stop being a whiney bjtch.
@AGreasedMonkey, Trust me, there are plenty of funny jokes not for me and plenty of jokes made for me that aren't funny. Heck, there are some unfunny jokes I laugh at, and I know they're unfunny because there's a clear cut (and interesting) distinction of what makes something funny. Here's a hint: a joke's offensiveness in no way makes it less funny. And I wasn't aware that raising a moral query was throwing a fit. I apologize for triggering you, ye who holds personal freedom as an excuse for tasteless behavior.
@Jdrawer, Yep, I've got the freedom to do that too.
@AGreasedMonkey, Though you should realize what you can do and what you should do are not one and the same.
@Jdrawer, I realize that, that's why I don't rape. I will absolutely laugh at a good rape joke. Plenty of comedians have become wealthy & famous because millions of people will laugh right along with me. Next time you think something isn't funny, check to see if anyone's laughing. It may just be a joke that's not for you.
@AGreasedMonkey, I never said the joke was or wasn't funny. I just asked if we should make jokes that punch down. You can make rape jokes that punch up, you know.
@Jdrawer, I don't know where you got that punch up/down phrase, but it had to be one of the dumbest sounding concepts I've ever heard. Why don't you just focus on intent instead. My personal guideline that I follow: Don't make jokes if you're intentionally trying to piss someone off, feel free to tell jokes for a laugh. So, don't tell black jokes to black people, but feel free to tell them to anyone you think will enjoy them. From the other point of view, there's no need for berating someone that was just trying to make you laugh.
@Jdrawer, there's a time and place for everything, including "punch down" jokes.
@AGreasedMonkey, Nobody's berating anybody.
@AGreasedMonkey, And it's irresponsible to judge actions based solely on intent. If I unintentionally kill somebody, that person's still dead.
@Jdrawer, I never said you were. I said that's my personal guideline. I do think that happens a lot, and it creates drama when people should just ignore a joke.
@Jdrawer, it's absolutely responsible to judge on intent. Do you think accidentally killing someone is a moral equivalent of someone who planned a murder with forethought? If a pilot makes a mistake that results in the death of many of his passengers, I wouldn't consider him a twisted, insane serial killer.
@AGreasedMonkey, I like how you ignored the whole "solely" part.
@Jdrawer, I wouldn't hold a soldier on trial for killing his enemy, would you?
@Jdrawer, I ignored it because it's irrelevant. If you do something to the best of your ability, but make a mistake, I see no reason you should be punished for it.
@AGreasedMonkey, It's not irrelevant, it's convenient for you to ignore because it strawmans my argument for you.
@Jdrawer, It is irrelevant. Action without intent is meaningless. Let's say your car breaks down. It cannot intend to break down, it just does. On the other side, someone pours syrup in your gas tank. Either way your car is broken down, but I wouldn't punish a car for breaking down. I'd punish someone for putting syrup in your tank.
@AGreasedMonkey, Yeah, but he /intended/ to make you laugh. Are you sure his joke couldn't hurt you?
@Jdrawer, I'm not sure why you think gumming up an engine is a joke, but I'll run with it. Anyone with the knowledge that sugar is not soluble in gas, so a liquid is required in order to make it past the fuel filter to actually damage the engine, clearly intends on damaging the engine. Even if it was just sugar, that would still clog the filter, so the car still wouldn't run. So, that will hurt me financially. Had it been just a joke, rather than a prank
@Jdrawer, I'd be just fine, whether I liked it or not.
@Jdrawer, I also think that anyone who truly thinks that would make the vehicle owner laugh, is mentally deficient or not sane. I wouldn't punish a retarded or insane person. They need help, not punishment.
@AGreasedMonkey, You're obviously being too sensitive. Maybe that joke's just not for you. He and I are laughing. His intent wasn't to hurt you, just to make you laugh. Stop berating him.
@kitkat12796, which is more offensive to a woman? a man saying change your tampon (a colorful euphemism), or a man surgically altering himself to be a woman? 9 out of 10 people will say the latter. you are in the minority. and funny pics likes or dislikes is not an accurate poll. most people find BRUCE JENNER to be a fool and think HE is just a sad sad MAN.
@Jdrawer, that joke isn't for me, and I'm not berating him. I'm holding him responsible for an action that he intended to do that he knew I wouldn't find funny. I'd also like to mention my comment earlier about don't tell black jokes to black people. You clearly know I wouldn't find that funny, so the only other pheasable option is retarded mentally or insane. You're describing someone who is sane, intelligent, and doesn't realize that will inevitably hurt me. That person does not exist. So, your intent is to win this argument regardless of whether or not you're right. Judging on that intent, I see no point in talking to a close minded individual about morality.
@AGreasedMonkey, If you think telling racist jokes to people not of those races doesn't carry harm, then you don't know how normalization works.
@mrstirfry99, ok now, 1. How is a man surgically altering himself into a woman offensive to a woman? 2. How is that more offensive than saying change your tampon which would probably offend 90% of women who get periods let alone any woman, 9 out of ten people maybe but it's not just people, it's about women. And finally 3. My initial post was about "a man saying change your tampon" as you stated it yet you brought up the point I said didn't matter.
Aw that's sad
