So I got addicted to heroin instead.
That moment you realize youd get paid more and receive better benefits working for UPS after a year
@EddySteady, working at Hobby Lobby has both of those beat. Their minimum pay is over $15/hour for a full-time employee. Apparently they also have good benefits.
@Doctor Krieger, ups has job security. Health benefits that are really good. 401k. Tuition assistance. And 20 percent off Verizon AT&T and T-Mobile
@Doctor Krieger, Hey, you can't point those things out! You're only allowed to bash Hobby Lobby because they hate women!
@Gamasennin, oh, yeah, I forgot.
Those evil misogynist Christians, not giving women contraceptives! Don't they know that women have vaginas? VAGINAS! They're entitled to birth control!
@EddySteady, can confirm, have been with UPS a year. Solid paycheck, cheap healthcare, 401k savings, and all kinds of discounts on mobile carriers, cars, etc
@EddySteady, VA home loan, USAA, 4 years fully paid tuition and health care for life after 4 years of service with an honorable discharge..the moment you find out serving your country pays off better than serving UPS.
@Albuquerque Jerky, not bashing on the Military but from what I understand from veterans I've met, a lot of the benefits from the Military are co-pay, restricted, and often limited or just take long to respond, UPS also pays for your bachelors and only requires co-pay for dental, you also get acupuncture and massage therapy, you also get paid vacation, personal days, and sick days, you also get auto and carrier discounts. these benefits extend to your spouse and dependants like in the military
@EddySteady, damn, thank you for the insight. I was unaware of the benifits you just informed me of.
@Doctor Krieger, fvcking where!!?! Because it’s not like that here
I wouldn't mind playing this, Actually
@SimonPetrikov, you called?
@SimonPetrikov, At least the game would finally have some depth.
Recruiter: hey want to trade your life for a uniform that may garnish you more respect than the little Cesar's uniform your wearing?
That sounds like a cool strategy game I am fully behind with hypothetical game
Recruiter called my house asking for me once. He asked me if I was interested in joining the military and I said no I’m focused on school and I’m sorry to say I’m not interested. He said how come it’s a great opportunity. And I repeated myself politely. Then he asked me again and asked for a specific reason? And I said that’s not the path I’m trying to go down, sorry. And he hung up on me.
But what if it's a Marines recruiter and you got a 94 on the ASVAB?
