What ever! We spending over a billion dollars on fireworks and another billion on booze...
IS GOING TO BE LIT!
So I'm from England and for us 4th July has always been just a normal day but today has been dubbed 'super Saturday' as all the pubs and hospitality industry have reopened! I have enjoyed knowing that so many people have been celebrating today even if for different reasons. Yeah I'm weird like that lol
@Hold your horses, cause our ancestors were fed up with your ancestors!!
@Hold your horses, who will drink more tho? A Brit that hasn’t been to a pub in 6 months or an American who’s celebrating freedom?
@BigJohnson86, I don’t even remember the last four days from start to finish and blew up thousands of dollars of boom booms
@Hold your horses, because I haven’t forgotten that America and Great Britain have been allies (or at least non hostile toward each other) since the end of the war of 1812; welcome to the celebration!
My best friend told me he couldnt celebrate normally cause his momma is going through the late stages of cancer, and he had to keep her inside and calm cause of the fireworks. She is easily confused as of late.
Sorry for the sad comment but 2020 is kicking peoples asses. im happy to hear people did have a good Holiday.
I hope everyone starts having a good year. Maybe we can mark the 4th as a day of when good things start to happen again.
F U 2020!!!
im just learning she just passed yesterday on the 5th :,(
@JacieTwisted, i hope your year gets better
@JacieTwisted, Sorry to hear of your loss. I hope your friend can grieve and come to the realization that she is no longer suffering. I lost my dad to complications from lung cancer last year and can empathize. Still sucks not having him around, but I’m happy he is in a better place. Not sure about your or your friend’s faith, but my prayers are with you all anyway.
I played a civ 6 game as America on true start earth for this 4th. I obliterated only one country and that’s because he kept spreading his filthy religion in my cities. It was Brazil for the curious.
Oh, it was a normal 4th of July in Detroit. 10 shootings, 3 fatal just on the 4th. Weekend was rough overall. Plenty of fires, racing, etc. Virus don't stop the party around here
