The Legion awaits at the gates of Hell, and the NCR is gonna send ‘em in!
@JDPhi, Death to NCR, Ave Caesar, long may he reign
NCR for life! Death to Legion! Death to House!
@TheCoolestBean, if my Vegas isn't free, what's the point? Yes Man for life
@Sivls, NCR will bring democracy and structure to the Mojave. In the long run the NCR is the best choice assuming they get their politics together.
@TheCoolestBean, @Sivls, The House always wins.
@TheCoolestBean, the funny thing is that I love the NCR as a faction. They're easily the most established and accomplished civilization in the US Wasteland, and they produce some of the nicest people you'll meet in New Vegas. Thing is, giving them the Mojave is a supremely bad idea, as it feeds into their government's obsession with annexing and taking over territories at an obscenely fast rate. As Marcus notes, this will eventually spell the Republic's downfall, as they're negligent integration of the conquered peoples will cause instability and internal strife. For the sake of preserving the NCR, it is necessary to push them out of the Mojave, so they can get their shjt together. Also, I'm not willing to throw away House's genius mind.
@Proactive Citizenry , I believe that the NCR has its best chance to gain control over the Mojave simply for its resources, mainly the Hoover Dam. This can be used to secure itself economically, militarily, and politically. With the annexation of the Mojave NCR citizens will come to settle, eventually making homes outside the New Vegas area. With more people comes more jobs, and the NCR will pay people with its dollars until their monetary value of the dollar is equal to one cap. The NCRs military will be stationed to gaurd the Mojave, not conquer its surrounding regions. This is because it would be unpopular with the citizens of the NCR, the war in the Mojave was already unpopular. The NCRs military would most likely try to recover and install better training regimens, weaponry, and rank structure. As far as a political win goes, Kimball would be removed from office. He had entered and continued with a very unpopular war in the Mojave, due to his imperialistic ways. 1/2
@Proactive Citizenry , And while yes, the war was won under his presidency, it was a war that extracted a heavy toll. As such Kimball would be impeached. His successor would hopefully realize Kimballs mistake, his mistake being conquering any territories surrounding California. I do believe that should the war in the Mojave end in a NCR win, then the best possible outcome is achieved. 2/2
@TheCoolestBean, I shall be visiting you tonight
@The Last Roman, my Service Rifle and I will be waiting
NCR is great and all, but the Brotherhood has Veronica, and she's best companion. Brotherhood for life!
