Hey, when you need voters there's nothing you can't say!
Well what else does she have going for her? I MEAN- VOTE HILLARY 2016, Y'ALL. *wipes sweat from forehead with Rubio 2016 handkerchief*
@Real Bill Clinton, Oh Bill, we know you hate her. Stop pretending to like her.
@Real Bill Clinton, lol the thought of him supporting someone from the opposite party over his own wife actually made me laugh a little
@Real Bill Clinton, I'm voting for Monica. She got the job done when Hillary couldn't.
@Real Bill Clinton, looks like bill is feeling the bern
@Real Bill Clinton, she had a woman speak that "there is a special place in hell for women who dont support each other." To which hillary laughed.
Im not defending her. I don't like her, but since when have people not been allowed to grow and change their opinion? Maybe she really has accepted it.
@Carley Universe, that's exactly what I was saying but people took it as protecting her.
@Carley Universe, i think it has more to do with the fact that she said she's always been for gay marriage but has obviously been against it at some point.
@Carley Universe, it's not that she changed her opinion, I respect the change. It's that she denies that she held the previous opinion.
@Carley Universe, I'm fine with her changing her mind, Bernie has changed his many times on gun laws; its when she claims to have always had that mindset when she clearly has not that makes me dislike her. Changing viewpoints is good, lying about it to get votes is not
@ajr12100, had she said "I saw the error in that way of thinking and now support gay marriage because it is only fair to allow gays to marry" I don't think anyone would make a big deal about it
I don't even know how to comment on this without someone being offended. No matter what I say, someone will be triggered and lash out against me. Or maybe I'm overthinking it. FunnyPics forces me to make existential choice about how I live and I do not approve
@Zordon, I don't even know what I'm saying at this point. I think I may be on drugs. Call for help
@Zordon, why do I have a HAL 9000 picture of my name is Zordon?!?!? What's going on
@Zordon, allow to make that leap then. I prefer her old views. Bam.
@Zordon, you okay man?
She finished that remark with "but I also believe that people in commuted gay marriages, as they believe them to be, should be given rights under the law that recognize and respect their relationship".
@iOS9, I don't like her. But I hate people who cherry pick quotes to support their agenda.
@iOS9, also known as "the entire media"
Ahh no someone changed their mind... and over the course of 16 years at that... this is absurd.
@That Bear over there, but if a trump quote from 16 years ago was here everyone would lose their mind
@Harry Potthead, Not true for me... I despise both of them but try to be civil when discussing candidates.
@Harry Potthead, I'd certainly lose my mind if that happened.
@That Bear over there, people who think politicians are sincere baffle me.
@marinebiobry, are talkin about me... I was just saying that 16 years is a long time and people change.
@That Bear over there, like I said to bullshjt man, normally yes someone changing their views is a normal thing but people tend to elect candidates who side with their current views so they want someone they can see as being steadfast on a certain issue because if they've changed before what's to stop them from doing it again? And yes over the course of 16 years even for candidates it should be good but it can get tricky knowing how reliable they will be
@That Bear over there, It's because in every debate and rally she always says she has always fought for gay rights and marriage, but just changed her opinion on the subject in 2010
@That Bear over there, I've changed my mind (and admit it openly) she continues to deny ever having her previous stance.
@That Bear over there, you're right. I just tend not to give the benefit of the doubt to politicians. Life is safer that way...or it would be if everyone thought critically about what our leaders say and do.
Why is it so bad for a politician to change their mind? If anything I find politicians that change their stance on things like this to be more reasonable and intelligent. With that said, Hillary Clinton is the devil.
@Lucipurr, It's because in every debate and rally she always says she has always fought fir gay rights and marriage, but just changed her opinion in 2010 on the subject
I think the reason people are upset with this isn't that she changed her opinion, but that she has been saying she had always had that opinion (just the messenger please don't kill me)
@sypersonic, for 52 years at that
@sypersonic, I agree with you. Clinton made the statement back then in order to agree with the apparent majority opinion, even though it was clear that her opinion was much more gay-friendly. Now that public opinion has swayed toward favoring gay marriage, she is making statements as if she were on that side the whole time. I don't trust her statements because I feel like she says whatever she thinks will get the most votes, not what she actually stands for.
Ok I'm sorry, but if you are complaining about a changing of an opinion over a decade, you honestly, need to think about what you're saying
@Bullshjt man, your right normally it's seen as a good thing to have an open mind and change an opinion based on new info, the problem with electing officials like that is generally people will tend to elect officials based on the fact they side with their views, and if they've changed their views before what's to stop them from doing it again once they get in office (especially when money gets involved) we like to imagine we can know how our candidate will act on certain views and it will always be with our beliefs, so yes normally being open is a good thing but when electing candidates it can be tricky
@Bullshjt man, see my response to 3 other posts saying what you've said.
I'm not a fan of Hillary, but is this picture saying you can't change your opinion over 15 years?
@The Kanye Best, It's because in every debate and rally she always says she has always fought for gay rights and marriage, but just changed her opinion on the subject in 2010
In all fairness this is a quote from 16 years ago, a lot can change in 16 years...
@Tangerine Jeff, It's because in every debate and rally she always says she has always fought for gay rights and marriage, but just changed her opinion on the subject in 2010
@Unexpected Jihad, fair enough, I don't know a ton about any of the candidates this year, I was just going off of the information in the picture
@Tangerine Jeff, This picture could have come with more context so you're fine don't worry
Because the US can evolve a new opinion on a subject and adapt to the moral stance, but the people inside are not allowed.
@AliG, It's because in every debate and rally she always says she has always fought for gay rights and marriage, but just changed her opinion on the subject in 2010
Bunch of people crying about changing opinions - this isn't an opinion. It's a moral standpoint. If she changes morals, why would we ever want her to lead us?
She'll change again the moment she's in office.
@AnimusJ, Oh no! A politician with an open mind! What a b!tch
@AnimusJ, a moral standpoint? Since when has agreeing with an ideology been a "moral" standpoint. I can see abortion being a moral standpoint but not gay rights...
@AnimusJ, I don't see anyone crying. Most everyone is starting their argument with "I don't like Hillary but..."
@That Bear over there, In many religions and cultures - homosexuality is wrong. Believe it or not, you can be against it and not be a douchebag.
@AnimusJ, that's true and all but what does it have to do with anything that was said previously?
@That Bear over there, So if something is morally wrong - that's called a moral. Try to keep up.
@AnimusJ, I was talking about the dbag portion...
Funny how politicians who change their opinions are criticized, as if ossified thoughts were a virtue.
@hannabanana, It's because in every debate and rally she always says she has always fought for gay rights and marriage, but just changed her opinion on the subject in 2010
@Kside5, that's not hypocrisy. That's changing your mind.
@Jonnasty, It's because in every debate and rally she always says she has always fought for gay rights and marriage, but just changed her opinion on the subject in 2010
I'm confused why people make a big deal of this, people can change in 15 years, and can adopt new ideas. That being said though I do not support Clinton what so ever.
@Lord of Sloths, It's because in every debate and rally she always says she has always fought for gay rights and marriage, but just changed her opinion on the subject in 2010
Fjck gay people fjck straight people. Fjck people everyone sucks
We all have that person we know who has the opinion that marriage is heterosexual....think, HOW LIKELY is that person to ever change their opinion?
Changing your opinion on something isn't something that doesn't happen, but gay marriage isn't one of those issues that you just switch your opinion on. I thing it's pretty obvious she's just going for the gay vote. She's just so dishonest and corrupt that I can't see how she has so many supporters
So what we're going to pretend like opinions don't change in 16 years? Really?
I probably wouldn't have had an opinion on homosexuals if I didn't know several as a kid. My best friend had two mums and the men who ran the local craft shop got married at some point. So I liked people who happened to be gay, and therefore I accepted gay people. My dad's a bit of a sourpuss so I might have grown up homophobic somewhere else.
So jeb bush forgot to renew the license on jebbush.com. so go there now and laugh at what some genius did haha
Wasn't this something that the GOP was pointing out in 2008 and 2012 only to be met with dismissal from the left? Kind of hypocritical that so many of those on the left are yelling about all of the same things because they desperately want Sanders to be elected. If anything, this really highlights how both popular parties are just different flavors the same authoritarian sh!tfest.
It all depends on what the meaning of "is" is.
Look I don't support Clinton or anything but stunningly enough humans posses the ability to learn from their mistakes and make proper judgement later on in life
Flip flop these lip locks...
I tried to make it rhyme. Did it work?
Well opinions Can't be changed SORRY
@Actuallyisspoderman, It's because in every debate and rally she always says she has always fought for gay rights and marriage, but just changed her opinion on the subject in 2010
@Unexpected Jihad, ok
She wants to be president more than I've ever wanted anything.
Are you telling me that she isn't allowed to change her mind in 16 years? Are you telling me that you are the same person you were 16 years ago?
So it's a crime for someone to become enlightened and change their minds to be more progressive? Isn't that the point?
@Laser Kitty, It's because in every debate and rally she always says she has always fought for gay rights and marriage, but just changed her opinion on the subject in 2010
