I’ve been having off and on chest pain for the past few months but I haven’t gone to the doctor because I’m really hoping that my heart just gives out soon so I can feel the sweet release of death.
@Bobaganusche88, Just in case you're not cracking a joke: things can get better. There are people willing to help out there. Might be a hard road; but there are roads to a better life/situation.
@Bobaganusche88, are you having any trouble breathing, and are you having heart palpitations or just general pain?
@Pat Myckok, well I have asthma, so I always have trouble breathing. I’ve also developed an arrhythmia, and can feel my chest pounding when I lay down.
@Bobaganusche88, if you don’t mind me asking, how do you know it’s an arrhythmia?
@WhereIsDenise, where is it written that a person must enjoy their existence? I did not choose to be brought into this world, and in 34 years I have not found any redeeming qualities in the world that make me excited for the time I have left.
@Pat Myckok, Apple Watch ekg app.
@Bobaganusche88, ok so bit of a long shot here (plus I’m not a doctor), but your symptoms seem similar to what I was going through last year. My thyroid was overactive, but it was causing horrible heart palpitations that were stronger when I was laying down and whenever I recorded it, I got either got afib or inconclusive readings. Maybe try getting some blood work done to rule it out. Because if you have what I had, your heart won’t give out anytime soon and you’ll be extremely miserable the whole time. Seriously, I felt like I was gonna die for a solid 3 months last year and another 2 months this year
@Bobaganusche88, So you put more faith in the technology of a watch app to be accurate, than a professional ekg?
@Bobaganusche88, the only danger of that course is you might have the heart attack in a public place and get taken to the hospital and be resuscitated. Then you’ll still be alive but also $20k in debt.
I recommend going to the doctor so you can at least get a firmer idea of what the underlying problem is. A good physician will work with you to get a medical bracelet that will let your treatment preferences (including a “do not resuscitate” directive). Though as young as you are you’ll probably have to fight for the DNR directive.
That said, I hope you find something that gives you meaning. There are good things out there and life is worth living, even when it gets hard.
@Bobaganusche88, Honestly. I'm kinda with you on this one. The world fing sucks. Humanity overall is an irrational, moronic pestilence pissing away their full potential.
Instead of becoming a space faring, world colonizing species we Instead would rather make wars about who's imaginary sky daddy is better and argue over what bathrooms people should use.
Add to that the extraordinarily high rate of suicide, poverty, human trafficking, raape and murder the globe over and you start to find less and less redeemable qualities in humanity.
8bil humans and over 9.4% live in complete generational poverty. 21.4% of children, globally, are malnourished/starving. Humanity has very few redeemable qualities and far to many irredeemable ones.
