You can actually train yourself to only need 3-5 hours of sleep each night by entering REM-sleep faster.
@Langenator, I don't think much training is involved. Work, come home tired, eat, go to sleep, have an alarm set for the right point in your sleep cycle. Go to work, wash and repeat
