You know, I've always thought how weird it would be to actually use a light saber. Since the blade is essentially weightless it must be hard to actually use. But I guess the force solves that issue..
@TheGoogler, fun fact: (that may or may not be true) but in the Original Trilogy, Lucas imagined a lightsaber blade to have a lot of weight to it, hence the fighting style. (This style was copied in the Sequel Trilogy). In the Prequels, however, he wanted the fighting to be more epic so his vision was a weightless saber.
@TheGoogler, what ^ said. I’ve heard/read that in comics they heavy as heck. But there’s one sith who had a virtually weightless saber. I believe it belonged to Darth Bane.
@Gustav Holst, its all however heavy they have the power source and how dense the kyber crystals are. But i did not know either piece of info on why the battlea were how they were so i thank you
@Gustav Holst, yeah, I’ve read that and I’m like... Lucas, how stupid can you be, it’s a light saber, not a heavy saber.
@TheGoogler, it's heavy in some ways considering most of weight comes from the handle itself which generally weighed at least 2-3 pounds though it could vary per person that's basically like having all of the weight of a typical sword in the handle alone
@the jedi hunter, still, fighting with a sword that has all the weight in the handle... that’s gotta be hard to use
@El Batman, more like Darth Gaines! "Bro this thing is like weightless to me, bro!"
Nothing personal kid *stands on high ground*
