This one is weird. On the one hand, fück these far left little shïts that are trying to racialize everything (where they aren’t straight up trying to eliminate ‘whiteness’), but on the other hand, I don’t think there’s much that would have pissed off Adolf Hitler more than being portrayed by an obese black lesbian, and that’s gotta be worth something.
Maybe if she was also somehow a Jewish gypsy cripple.
@I Are Lebo, a German-Jewish gypsy cripple CHILD would have probably pissed him off more
@I Are Lebo, Isn't this meant to be a joke
@eleven, every year, it’s harder to tell
@I Are Lebo, this is a joke and skit from jimmy kimmel. Fret not
@Basil Fawlty, hey, as the trend of taking white or male characters and making them not those things gets stronger, it’s all muddled.
@I Are Lebo, well I take comfort in the fact that pretty much every movies where they gender or race swap a character does awful at the box office. Eventually they’ll either stop doing it because they’ve lost too much money and learn, or they’ll go out of business. But Hollywood is an island completely out of touch with the rest of the world.
@BearDaniels, my brother is a producer in Hollywood, and I’ve had several arguments with him regarding the usage of inclusivity riders.
I think it’s a disgusting practice to evaluate potential hires in any way based on their skin colour, unless it is an actor portraying someone whose ethnic background is relevant to the plot.
He disagrees, mostly citing how the majority of movie sets he has been on have been almost exclusively white men as both cast and crew.
I try to get him to see that disparity does not automatically equal discrimination, but he is so absorbed into his progressive mindset that he can’t see it.
I’ve also had some heated arguments with him about how the wage gap is a lie.
I say lie and not myth because when you perpetuate a debunked myth, I consider it lying.
Every movie now
@Bird on a Rock, yeah I think it's so stupid how they remake movies/shows and turn all the cast into. Different race. Like princess and the frog being a completely all black animation or like making starfire black in the new teen titans.
@tmo0792, it’s only diverse if there’s no white people
@Bird on a Rock, yep same think when hiring someone for a job
@tmo0792, princess and the frog is really good though :(
@tmo0792, I mean starfire is orange so I don’t really care either way as long as it’s good acting 🤷🏼♂️
@Zracer4life, Yeah but that’s the problem. It looks like the actress potraying Starfire won’t be orange. Plus there’s already a black character. Cyborg.
If they wanted to diversify, in my opinion, Starfire should be played by someone Middle Eastern, Persian, or Indian (but with orange skin and green eyes added to stay faithful to the character)
They also are apparently changing her entire personality as well.
@Zracer4life, so, we're looking for whatever race Trump is?
@Empshok, nah I don’t think spray tan is a race
@Bird on a Rock, have you seen him use spray tan? I doubt it. No, I'm pretty sure it's his natural color.
@tmo0792, I can explain why that is.
You see, our society is filled with people who are so privileged and so well off that they just have to feel persecuted. They want to feel like they’re victims too. So they make up stuff to complain about, like when feminists whined that Wonder Woman didn’t have armpit hair. In the words of internet movie reviewer Brad Jones: “Take your persecution complex and shove it straight up your ass!”
@Bird on a Rock, @F451
@Scott Sterling, omg its Scott sterling!
And the Oscar for best supporting actress in a comedy goes to...Gobbleday Cinnabon!
It really should be based on who is the best actor for the role. Putting in minority actors on principle where they really don’t fit only serves to use their minority status as a selling point.
You mean a nìgger
@ImNotRacistBut, danger, Will Robinson!
@ImNotRacistBut, name checks out
