Hockey player dies
I don't think anyone ever accused Lebron James of being tough.
@Aperture Employee, NBA games did saying basketball players are the toughest in the world which we all know is bull crap
@Aperture Employee, did you see Mike Dunleavy take a hit to the eye and go off on the Rockets?
@ChickenAfterbirth96, yeah. That was pretty gnarly. Supposedly he lost over a pint of blood.
Only true hockey fans will appreciate the uploaders name
@We The People, HE HAS DONE NOTHING SPECIAL THIS YEAR.
@We The People, Go flyers!
@We The People, You should have said flyers fans.
@Super Kyle, you don't need anything special if you just play solid.
@Penisaur, I'll give you that, but he was compared to crosby last playoffs, he doesn't deserve that this year. Still have respect though.
@We The People, Zach Parise all the way. I hate Giroux.
@Countrywide, so I'm assuming a fellow Minnesotan is in the house! Go Wild
@We The People, you assume correctly:)
@We The People, me and my son met him a few years ago when he before he broke out as a major player and he was kind enough to sign his stick and give it to him at a morning practice. He's a real class act.
@We The People, Fvck yeah flyers! Kicked the penguins a$$e$
@Professor Mcgonagall, fvck the flyers
@We The People, phuck philly go rangers
Rich peverley had a heart attack on the bench this past Monday while playing the Columbus blue jackets, players jumped from the bench to draw attention to him, trainers took him to the locker room where they had to revive him with shock, the remainder of the game was postponed due to the horror the players witnessed, when peverley was revived he asked his coach the time remaining in the 1st period, he is now recovering in the hospital appearing to be in stable condition
Honestly, next to rugby players, hockey players are some of the toughest athletes. I've seen a player take a puck to the face and keep playing. A goalie take a skate to the throat and still have a career. Just recently in the last playoffs, a player got his leg broken while blocking a shot and continue with the play.
@Scooterpie, I respect rugby players but hockey players get injured a lot more often dealing with sticks, boards, blades, and frozen rubber going 100+mph.
@Scooterpie, Gregory Cambell! God I love that guy, Go Boston
Im sorry but when did that hockey one happen
@lightningfanatic, like a week ago, Rich Peverly went into cardiac arrest, got CPR behind the bench, got up and said he was ready to play
@lightningfanatic, the guy had an irregular heart beat, but he still wanted to play. After one of his subs he colapsed on the bench and was revived w/ a defibrilator. It happened on the same night as the basketball one
@We The People, It sucks that he may never play again though..
@We The People, well i sure as hell hope he got mvp
@Aperture Employee, he will get a defibrillator placed and be back for next season, he found out about his a-fib prior to the year and thought they could get by just monitoring
@We The People, Really? That's good to hear, I just saw a report that doctors advised against his playing.
@mercator mortis, didnt happen same night. Lebrons is an old photo but point remains.
@Aperture Employee, the fact that in the ambulance he said he wanted to get back to the ice, makes him a legend!
Lebron james would have retired from basketball if his heart stopped if that is his reaction to a freaking leg cramp. Go on youtube and search for "campbell bruins broken leg" and watch the most inspiring 1 minute of hockey ever. Dude broke his fricken leg and continued to try to block shots because it was the playoffs....
@Happy gilmore, and yet this happened near the end of the season on a team where Lebron is basically the team. Don't get me wrong, hockey players are tough, but don't try to downsize the fact that a leg cramp can be easily mistaken as a pulled or strained muscle, and even a muscle or ligament tear, luckily it was a cramp, but the pressure this guy has on him to be good means that he has to be at 100% at all times, so yes I wouldn't blame him for milking his injuries some if he feels like it may affect his game. But this is still nothing compared to hockey players.
This is why Iove hockey more than any other sport
I guess he didn't let his injury...cramp his style
Wondered how long it would take for this pic to show up on here...

Chris pronger was my favorite flyer.
I think someone should point out how kinda dumb it is for him to ask to be put back in the game. If he went into cardiac arrest on the bench, I think his coach and team will understand
@The Justice League, He is passionate about his sport and loyal to his team and his fans. He was probably in shock when he woke up and didn't realize he had died for a second, but it's the thought that counts.
@Average Canadian, people comparing it to lebron are missing the point though. Like, the dude died. It would be super unsafe for him to go back into the game. He can be prideful and loyal, but there should be a limit
@The Justice League, He obviously wasn't going to be put back in the game, but as a hockey player it's the spirit of the game to want to finish the game. I had my shoulder dislocated and had it popped back in and I wanted to go play the rest of the third period. It's just how hockey players are.
@The Justice League, He probably thought he got knocked out. Not had cardiac arrest. And it makes him badass as hell.
This is the best hockey picture in my opinion
Ya, but did he have a leg cramp after he was revived?
Third quarter already?
Ill hand it to hockey players and rugby players but wrestlers are the toughest athletes by far. Notice they're not called "players"
@Wrestling Prophet, yeah they are called "actors".
Kind of racist. But true!
Am I the only Dallas fan I know there not good but unlike a lot of people who just say I like this team cause of Crosby or stuff I like em because Dallas won the Stanley cup the year I was born. And thank god seguin is ok he is a good player sry about long post I was just wondering
@NutCracker, that's Rich Peverley...
This isn't true he just wanted to know when he went out of the game not to come back in. He was dissalutioned
HELP. I went to Canada and now I speak full Canadian. Hockey maple maple syryp moose
Well in hockey, you're wearing protective equipment and have different training practices for different things. In Basketball, a leg cramp can mean a pulled muscle or a weak leg, and you could end up breaking it from a simple jump. That's why they're usually more cautious about it in basketball. Also, there's a difference between passing out and dying.
@Croaks, there's a difference between cardiac arrest and passing out.
@Croaks, His heart literally stopped. Lebron's leg muscles tensed up. Please don't try and compare the two injuries.
@Average Canadian, A stopped heart doesn't mean death. That's why when someone's heart is screwing up, you can still save them.
@Croaks, Cardiac Arrest means no oxygen to the brain. If he was not revived within 10 minutes his brain cells would have started to die.
@Skaro, I'm sorry i meant to downvote him not you *gets fired=
@Croaks, he DIED on the bench. His heart stopped. Do you think there is a backup heart?
Hockey, actually one of the most dangerous sports!
Down vote troll? No problem!
