That cooler is actually worth it. Have you tried one?
@Dr Who Fandom, yah, your sh1t stays cold for days
@toolazy, you store your shít in a cooler? Just flush, bro
@Dr Who Fandom, once kept ice for 5 days while camping one spring
@Dr Who Fandom, mine has worked pretty well
@Dr Who Fandom, dont forget they are bearproof
@Dr Who Fandom, my dad made one for nothing using scraps from around the velladrome (huge circular building in Australia for cyclists) it’s about three times bigger then that esky and works a hell of a lot better too
@Dr Who Fandom, except I can find/make a cooler that works as well or close for much less than $300
@skedda, *VeloDrome (velo=cycle in French) vella sounds cooler though
@Dr Who Fandom, just out of curiosity, does anyone know the thermal resistance for the material of the cooler?
@TR8R, I can find one for $0. You just have to know where to look and when the security guard is jerking off.
@Dr Who Fandom, it’s only worth it if A) you lack the materials or knowledge to make one yourself and B) you need such a thermally resistant cooler. Most campers don’t. Maybe if you’re going on an extended camping excursion, or a week long trip to Africa.
@Dr Who Fandom, is it vacuumed insulated like their cups?
@DwayneTheCockJohnson, but then they wouldn’t stay cold.
@Tuxedo mask, they hollow the layers in the cooler then reduce it to vacuum so that there is effectively 0 heat transfer going on. It’s why they work so well.
@Dr Who Fandom, you can buy a Walmart brand replica for like 50 bucks. At dicks sporting goods we sell the yeti cups for between 29.99-39.99 depending on the side of the cup. Just saw Walmart brand is 6.74 and 8.74 and works just as well. The value is all in the brand name.
Savage, I wonder who wrote this...
*stares at the people who make Walmart styrofoam coolers*
They keep marketing it as a new technology, but it has been around since the 80's. They use a combination of plastic layers and styrofoam( or something similar) to create a thermal barrier. The Aladdin company has been making mugs like this for years and a hell of a lot cheaper.
Yeti gets crap because it's popular but there are coolers that are more exclusive and expensive than yeti. They also hold ice longer, 10 days vs the yeti 6 days.
@RiffRaff, Do I need a week, though?
@Jdrawer, really depends... its all relative. You have charter(fishing) boats that need to hold ice for longer or people that spend weeks in the wilderness... most buy Yeti for the name though.
@RiffRaff, So I don't, and most people don't. So they're idiots if they buy one; those fishermen, though, good for them
Anytime I see these coolers I see topless college girls on top of them #difs
But we all know it's not the coolest cooler...
@AndorraBall, You know what's cooler?
@SimonPetrikov, Frieza is cool, but his brother is cooler.
Makes a really cheap coffin too..pack mine with beer and Slim Jims for the ride.
Clearly the poster know not of the yeti ... I swear the thing makes ice
Saves you money in the long run on ice. I don't have a yeti butbi have an rtic.
I don't see a chord with that fridge
I'll give you three fiddy for that yeti. Take it or leave it.
$300 is not that much. If you need a cooler often why not get one that's high quality?
Only Meta-Cooler is worth $300
