My teacher kept comparing me to holden, is that bad?
@marz barz, Yes
@marz barz, be a little insulted but it kind of depends on what aspect of Holden he was comparing you with.
@marz barz, It depends - who is Holden?
@Emu with a Top Hat, catcher and the rye's main character
@Emu with a Top Hat, what?! You don't know the main character from a 63 year old book? How dare you?
@marz barz, is your teacher's name Mr Antolini?
@marz barz, don't let Mr Spencer treat you like that
My first update!
@Gozant, congrats. Peeps will upvote you from becoming more part of funnypics. I still havent popped my upload cherry. Im waiting for the right pic.
@Gozant, assumed so...
@Saldierrez, that's what I meant to say
To anyone who hasn't read this book, save yourself. I wanted to but a bullet in my head when I had to read it for class
@Jdieppa68, or a bullet in John Lennon?
Only got this cause studied this for English.
Catcher in the iTunes Store
One of the most overrated books of the 20th century
By far the worst book I've ever had to read. Reading Catcher in the Rye is about as pleasurable as having your nipples cut off with a butter knife and then using salted lemons to cover up the wounds.
@Yukimura, try "The Bell Jar" by Sylvia Plath. It's like a female version of Catcher but with a heavier depressed tone and suicide themes
Worst. Book. Ever.
Read this book freshman year of highschool. Can't say I understood any of it.
Today my mom and dad are going to put down my dog we've had for 10 years :(
@deathtopigs, Daaaamn...I'm sorry :(
Everything's so phony. It really is. No kidding.
Am I the only one who actually enjoyed this book? O_o
7.8/10. Too much phone.
