@InsanityWolf404, no, jumbo jets aren't designed to be able to do that, the wings would most likely be ripped off if attempted. As far as i know it has only been done once on all of history.

@InsanityWolf404, well there is one pilot pooping right now. (Me). That's a 747. Technically they CAN do that. But not that fast, nor that low. As they would lose alot of altitude. Yes, the vid is fake.

@InsanityWolf404, been done once in a Boeing 707 like 50 years ago. Don't know if any other times besides that. The pilot did a roll during a press release trying to sell the new plane.

@Assassinator2399, exactly. The elevators are the part on the tail of the plane that give pitch. If only the ailerons are used, and not elevators, (like in the gif) its an aileron roll. When both are used , its a barrel roll. (Looks more like a stretched loop)

@Assassinator2399, i am a student pilot right now. And you werent wrong at all lol. The ailerons control the roll of the plane. Its called an aileron roll because its just a straight roll. Barrel rolls use the elevators, etc. Hope i helped and didnt seem douchebaggy :)

@new username 1, A barrel roll is when the entire plane flies in a spiral or corkscrew pattern, as if it was rolling around inside of a barrel. This is usually done in a dogfight to bleed airspeed so a pursuer will overshoot you. An aileron roll is simply the plane's axis turning without the plane changing direction. I know. Some people call it a "victory roll". I know... Starfox had it wrong.

@Noice, Im actually just a student pilot right now. Ive flown a Cessna 172 SP and a Cirrus Sr-20 with glass cockpit. (So weird). But i want to go into the airlines and fly any of the 7X7s. Preferably 737 or 787.

@Cepheus, that's cool, I only recently got my license flying a C42 just as a hobby but hope to join the RAF in a year, maybe get lucky and be assigned to the new shipments of F-35s they're bringing in. It's a stretch though.
