My name is Sue.
How do you do?
Now you’re gonna die!
@akgaimer, kicked like a mule!
@akgaimer, if I ever have a son, I think I'm going to name him....BILL OR GEORGE ANYTHING BUT SUE. I still hate that name
@megamanx181x, and he bit like a crocodile
@Your Waifu, a man named sue. It's a really old song about a guy that has a miserable childhood because his father named him Sue. He finds his father and fights him, and is told he named him that so he would become tough.
@ThePandaPool , that seems like a pretty obscure reference to make a meme about without context.
@Your Waifu, It’s by Johnny Cash, it’s a pretty popular song (unless I just think that because my grandpa used to listen to it all the time idk)
@SHIVERMETIMBERS1776, I've literally never heard it before, and I listen to classic rock on the radio all the time.
@Your Waifu, Sue
@Your Waifu, oh wow man! Here I thought you as one of the most cultured one among us... what a let down
@seeUpee, so I'm not cultured because I've never heard a single song that's one of the most obscure songs from a guy who's career started 70 years ago and who's been dead for over a decade?
@Your Waifu, no, no... not AS cultured... you are a pretty cultured dude. Just saying I’m very surprised. Also not just one song.. dude is a legend
@seeUpee, well I'm not really the kind of person who goes out of my way to listen to music, so most of the music I listen to is stuff I either just happened to find or that's been recommended to me. And I've never come across that specific song, so I never even knew it existed until now.
@Your Waifu, gotcha... is alright that you didn’t... I listen to everything, techno, dubstep, rock, country, heavy metal, rap, pop, etc... also if you haven’t heard The Devil Went Down to Georgia by Charlie Daniels then you should too... all in the same spectrum... songs you just gotta know
@seeUpee, definitely heard that one, and several covers of it. True classic right there. Might have to check out this Johnny Cash song if it has a similar feel to it.
@Your Waifu, please do... he has been compared with guys like Elvis... all different in their own way... you going to hate sue’s dad ahahaha
@Your Waifu, if you were a Johnny cash fan you would know it a heart beat, of course not everyone listened to Johnny cash either
@megamanx181x, well im not a Johnny Cash fan, just someone who listens to some of his music sometimes.
@seeUpee, we teach him the ways of the man in black...
@Your Waifu, entertaining song if you’re ever bored, Johnny likes to sing songs that were like stories
@megamanx181x, as a guy from Cali... I’m impressed... very impressed
@seeUpee, how dare you sir! California has a huge rockabilly scene and I was kind of part of it
@ThePandaPool , “really old”. Why do you feel the need to attack me like this
@Your Waifu, it’s not classic rock
@Your Waifu, one of the most obscure songs? It’s one of Johnny cash’s most famous songs and if you’re not familiar with it u don’t know much about music cause Johnny cash was one of the biggest artist of all time
@Gallchobhair, to be fair, the singer died of old age years ago. I think that makes it qualify...
@bobbylupo, unfortunately this may be falling on deaf ears. I think @yourwaifu went inactive some time ago...
@ThePandaPool , I keep forgetting that they’ve been posting pics from years ago lately
@bobbylupo, yea. It's nice and sad at the same time.
For all of you wondering it’s a classic song by Johnny cash called a boy named sue. Tells a story of a man looking for his father that walked out after he was born but not before legally naming sue.
I've never heard this song either. I'm wondering if the message might be about putting young boys through sh*t times to make them 'men' when there are much less ridiculous or cruel ways to do so. I'm a little drunk though so I may be looking too deep in to it
@Hold your horses, no, that’s about it.
Well my daddy left home when I was three, and he didn't leave much to ma and me, just this old guitar and an empty bottle of booze
One of my favorite songs
Johnny C is my bow
