Above average Batman fan here: I’ve read a fair amount of his comics, grew up watching Adam West, seen all the movies, and I have 3 wedding rings with bat-symbols on them. In my opinion, Batman’s appeal is not his “powers” compared to others. His strength is his character and overall sense of justice. As a a grown up orphaned child, he did not seek revenge. He seeks justice. He wants to clean up his neighborhood, and make Gotham as good as he believes it could be. He does not act as judge/jury/executioner; he ties up the bad guys and leaves them for the cops so that justice can be served. He’s designed to be like Sherlock Holmes, with money and a sense for intimidation. He’s just freakin’ awesome.
@Who Nose, he's designed to be like Sherlock Holmes? Well I guess that explains why ERB had them rap battle
Batman still the best hero, change my mind
@Toasty nipples , Sups and Flash are out saving the world, bats can’t even get Gotham in check.
@x2 6x 9 lol, Nope. Sups and Flash are waiting for Bats cus hes the fkn boss
@Toasty nipples , if superman didn't exist I'd argue that the flash is the best hero, or at least has the most potential power. Dude can straight up time travel, is capable of generating a tsunami/tornado and he could essentially never be killed. Batman on the other hand is a smart billionaire with gadgets. To be honest I think the show invincible gives a good representation of batman and the the flash vs superman. Sure batman might have some contingency plans but him facing either is like king kong facing godzilla in the middle of the ocean without some ships that are unsinkable and made out of what seems to be adamantium.
@x2 6x 9 lol, fvcking THANK YOU
@Toasty nipples , I agree with you! All these guys ☝️are arguing about how Superman and Flash could beat Batman in a fight. That’s not what you said. You said Batman is the “best hero” not the “strongest / most unbeatable hero”.
@Toasty nipples , what about the anti-heroes?
@Snarfel Burger, does it have to be someone from the DC Universe or can we include Marvel and other universes as well? Cuz my vote would either be the Tick or Hancock
@Snarfel Burger, I mean by best I think of the hero with the best ability to solve some kind of problem. Superman and flash can easily do shjt that batman would never be able to do. "Batman do you want to prevent the holocaust?"
"Sure but I cant travel in fvcking time like the flash"
@Runnin with scissors, True. But Batman saves the day WITHOUT any superpowers. As unrealistic as he is, he’s still grounded just enough to be the most interesting. By your argument Superman and Flash don’t really have an excuse for not stopping every single atrocity in history. Almost makes them the bad guys for having the capability but not doing it. Batman goes into fights knowing he could die, the others don’t have to worry about that. I think that alone makes Batman the most heroic.
@Runnin with scissors, Flash wrecks superman in a fight
@Snarfel Burger, true but he should die anytime he gets punched by a super
@Runnin with scissors, I won’t argue with that. I think Superman could destroy him (and just about anyone for that matter). That’s just not as interesting to me personally. No feeling of risk when he goes into battle. 🤷♂️
The GOTHAM license plate is a nice touch.
