Just remember PASS .
@Big Bad Butterfree, ah
what is it
@MrWonka, lol I have training at work about it. It's an acronym to know how to use the extinguisher.
Pull the pin
Aim at the base of the flame
Squeeze the trigger
Sweep left to right
@Big Bad Butterfree, that makes more sense than what I thought. I figured if you saw a fire you say PASS really loud and leave it for the next person.
@Auslander, funny you should say that, the training also says you are never expected/required to use a fire extinguisher and to only do so if you are comfortable. So I guess technically you can just "pass" on it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@Big Bad Butterfree, I work in a lab with flammables. They definitely say do not try to extinguish combustibles. Just get out. Small fires in the office area are okay, nothing in the lab is worth extinguishing by oneself though.
@Bionicbonk, oh yeah, regular fire extinguishers are only good for like basic fires. And nothing "bigger than a trash can." If it's electrical, grease, or chemical, you're NEVER supposed to extinguish it.
@Big Bad Butterfree, does sweeping right to left still work?
@Shzeah, I'm unsure, but is it really worth the risk to find out?
Thats not a youtube issue, thats a channel issue. The channel decided to monetize a video on how to use a fire extinguisher
Each extinguisher has a tutorial on it. Can you not read ?
@generic zombie, well no, some people can't.
@mycatsanahole, perhaps those people wouldn't understand a youtube tutorial for it then.
@Empshok, well on youtube you have a video and most likely someone explaining how to use it. Being unable to read is not uncommon. Some people have learning disabilities that make reading difficult or impossible. They are able to learn through different means.
@mycatsanahole, oh fine...yes, that is true.
