I’ve been reading about the start of wwii and I just had to.
B&F: Does nothing for months
Hitler: A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
@theprofprofessor, this works out because Palpatine is Star Wars Hitler
@Sw1per, I thought Vader was Star Wars Hitler
Uhh, might get disliked but..
Truth is France didn't do a whole lot and Churchill "sold" Poland to Stalin later on.
@Woytell, Churchill wanted to declare war on the USSR after the Nazi defeat but realised how stupid that would be, not what I’d call selling Poland out
@theprofprofessor, Tbh it was more like they (country leaders back then) wanted to give Stalin what he wanted and stay low hoping he'd be cool with them since he'll have the territories he wanted including half of Berlin, Poland, Latvia, Belarus and so on
@Woytell, basically appeasement 2.0 except instead of Hitler it was Stalin and Nuclear weapons were now a problem
@Woytell, Stalin was more and more distrusting of the West because they refused to open a second front to help him out when he was getting destroyed by Barbarossa, and Britain and France half-arsed attempts at an alliance before the war. So it’s not like he’d ever be “cool” with them.
@ToddHowardsParents, yup yup yup, same as my dude professor but more precise. Have a good night y'all (it's almost 1am in my country).
@Woytell, Goodnight sweet prince.
@theprofprofessor, I heard the U.S. assassinated General Payton because he was pushing too hard to eliminate the Russian threat to Europe and the world. I wonder if Sir Churchill changed his mind before or after General Pattons death. Any historians out there? Yes, I know Google exist, but I know my weaknesses and I’d end up wasting hours to days following different tangents/rabbits and never get my report that’s past due done. My meme weakness is bad enough.
You missed a perfect opportunity to put a hitler mustache on Pikachus face. Please delete, correct, and re-upload.
I didn’t say it I declared it
Didn’t do anything about it right away though...
