@Pretty Sweet, You probably shouldn't have.
@Pretty Sweet, how did you do that?
@Pretty Sweet, what the hell?!
The JFK one was not okay and also my favorite.
Anyone have an approximate year on Noah's flood? The one in the picture just seems too recent.
@ archiethesailor, yeah, try at least 5500 years earlier and it might be close.
@ archiethesailor, between 2500 and 2300 B.C. They approximate the flood occurring in 2348 B.C. or so
@Breathable Crotch, i would say it is before 3000. That is the start of recorded history.
@JackoftheDead, the flood didn't occur until well after the fall of Adam and Eve. Look it up
@Breathable Crotch, Thank you
@Breathable Crotch, this first recorded history of man dates back to 4000 bc. So his opinion could still be correct.
@Breathable Crotch, I'm not saying he's right I'm just saying don't discount his idea immediately without all the fact.
@The Lizard King, Yes, and Noah came a few hundred years after Adam and Eve. It did take Noah a couple hundred years to build the ark, that's why the years of the ark are between 2500 and 2300 B.C.
@The Lizard King, those are the facts...
@The Lizard King, http://www.creationtips.com/flooddate.html
@Breathable Crotch, I'm not arguing with you on the facts. I know the facts. The years are still an estimate. 4000 is the first recorded history it is widely accepted that there were humans before that. I'm just saying don't put someone down in a discussion when they are voicing their opinion, the fact that they have the courage to put their opinion out their is very admirable.
@Breathable Crotch, the other thing is Adam and eve is a story written by King david.
@The Lizard King, there apparently has to be auto corrected to their.
@The Lizard King, the people were Adam and Eve and their descendants. And I'm not putting his opinion down, I'm just giving the facts about it. There's a difference between fact and opinion. I mean, I don't mean to offend, but I'm not going to accept opinion as fact when I know what the fact is.
@Breathable Crotch, and that's fine I would want to accept something I know isn't true either, I didn't mean to offend you either, but as I read I read it as you were putting him down. And I just believe that people are put down all the time for voicing their opinions when they shouldn't be, they be able to speak their mind and learn if they are incorrect. Also I'm not saying that their weren't two people named Adam and eve but the story that they popular the earth single handedly is a huge misconception it's a story written by King david who was trying to find a simple way of telling his people how they came to be on this planet.
@Breathable Crotch, Adam and Eve is not the beginning of recorded history. I'm talking about the cradle of civilization. Noah was well before this.
@Screw YOLO, Russian alphabet "c"
Oh c'mon it's just a little tea tax to help our economy, why the #*ck would anyone care about that?

When I got top comment the first time
As a biblical studies major i can say that a large majority of these conjectures are unfounded. While recorded history might have begun around 4000BCE middle eastern cultures to this day largely rely on oral tradition, which means the date cannot be narrowed down to recorded history. Also, noah could have been any number of generations after Adam, as the word used means descendant, not necessarily son of. I know this doesn't really give an answer, but it might clarify some of the Arguements. Anyway it goes, it was definitely not the date given.
Well before the 1500s the f bomb wasn't a profanity. It meant to plant potato seeds in a field (I think maybe any seeds). But a few crafty people figured that digging a hole and sticking something in it is kind of like.... Something
@Just a doctor , actually it meant fornication under the king. Not such a stretch from its meaning today.
