Borderlands, hyperion, guy thrown out window
For those who don't understand, in Borderlands 2 the guy who is constantly trying to kill you owns the company that brings you back to life once you die. The game is much better if you don't think about it too hard, but it's still an amazing game.
@ExocutionerSmough, you're right. Thought about it, now I think the guy is an idiot.
@ExocutionerSmough, but isnt that the whole point of borderlands. For wierd as fick fun??
@ExocutionerSmough, it still makes sense though because angel keeps it working then jack does so he can kill you himself
@ExocutionerSmough, according to gearbox, New U stations aren't cannon which is why none of the main characters who died respawned, it just felt like an easier way to make the player come bqck after a death. I didn't mean that to sound as boring and as matter of fact as it did
@ExocutionerSmough, funny, the other top comment is about DS.
@Tyler643, actually, he wasn't exactly an idiot, he was more over confident, thinking he was so powerful that the vault Hunter couldn't kill him, that he didn't want to turn them off, he'd rather have made a ton of money off the vault Hunter dying so much, both Jack and the New- U machine said that. And by the time Angel dies, he rather kill the vault Hunter himself
@ExocutionerSmough, funfact: after you kill jack, if you have access to fly cheats, you can head back over the cliff you drop down from and see him respawn at the closest new-u station.
@ExocutionerSmough, pshh borderlands who likes that game
@Tiny Tina, Needs more 'splosions.
@ExocutionerSmough, I've always had the head-canon of: Hyperion outsourced the facility that handled New-U arthorization on a planet 23-lightyears away, so it takes a while to update the system.
@ExocutionerSmough, actually the board members are the ones of whom decided to keep the new u stations on
@ExocutionerSmough, another reason he had to keep them going is the money he charged for the rest awn. Which I think was 7% of what you had. The further you got the more money he would get from your death. Making it extremely lucrative
Let me iterate, it's not a statue, it's an actual pony made out of diamonds. I was gonna name him sh!t for brains after you, but that's just immature. Hmmm maybe buttstalion. Here buttstalion here boy! Say hello to the vault hunters! *neighs* hahahah, buttstalion says hello.
@SIRsmackzALOT, thank you for this
@SIRsmackzALOT, I only have one question for you...EXPLOSIONS?
@SIRsmackzALOT, piss* not shjt if I recall correctly.
I NEVER DIE
The "New-U" Stations don't bring you back to life for free. Hyperion makes a killing off of bringing you back to life. That money is then invested into something that can kill you again or hopefully multiple times. However, the total cost of the damage you do Hyperion in one life is probably greater than the amount they receive from bringing you back. Yeeeaahh, it's best just not to overanalyze the game's logic.
On the topic of games, I just bought Dark Souls II. How scared should I be? Bare in mind that I work nights so I'll be playing in the day.
@GreatWhiteBrow, Good PvE. Not that hard. PvP is just Buff city. It's hard to find players that use cunning and skill to win not stun lock to victory style. If you want help I'm on Xbox 360 just reply and yeah :)
@Nomad , PS3 right here, I'm afraid. Cheers anyway.
@GreatWhiteBrow, bare in mind. What I do to most girls I see.
@GreatWhiteBrow, It depends how you are at these kinds of games. Be warned there will be times you will get boned. But persevere. It is worth it.
@GreatWhiteBrow, I've just started playing it as well. Girlfriend got me it. It's pretty intense so far and if VaatiVidya was right about anything, it's that the enemies really press their advantage. It's harder to single out targets in groups for examples. The enemies like to bully you and combat has less breathing room than the first game. It makes for an extremely awesome combo that challenges you constantly
@GreatWhiteBrow, don't be afraid. It's a fun game. That series is one of my favorites. Plus, if you don't like a challenge, it's pretty easy to make an op character (or at least one that's op before NG+).
@GreatWhiteBrow, although, as a follow up to what I just said, I wouldn't recommend building an op character. I like to pick a knight, build well rounded stats with utility, and think of myself as a humble ordinary warrior taking on an impossible challenge. This leads to some really epic boss fights and a delightful level of immersion. I feel like it's how the game was meant to be played. If you dump all your points into one stat, your first playthrough will be made very simplistic, and also certain parts of the game will be a pushover as a result (which can be very immersion killing). Last bit of advice I have is that you explore, explore, explore. DS2 is full of secrets and bosses that make a massive impact on your experience if you seek them out. (Just don't google best weapons and armor early or the game really is too easy)
@GreatWhiteBrow, it's easy. I beat around 4 bosses blindly my first try, and a lot of the starter ones there's always people to summon. Dark souls 1 would be ashamed
@GreatWhiteBrow, i got to the third of fourth boss... you fight three bosses at once. Rage quit so hard after 20 attempts.
@GreatWhiteBrow, I'm on ps3. The game isn't as hard as made out to be. Beat the game in two days, got multiple sets of everything, fully leveled. So yea. Just take your time and don't rush into things till you know your ready.
Borderlands the pre-sequel is coming out soon and it's about Handsome Jack's story and how he became evil.
@neonpurpleraven , I'm so playing as Athena
IT'S BACK! But i don't get it..
@Tyler643, reference to borderlands 2, that's handsome jack the villain whose company owns the new u machines which is how u respond when u die
@Tyler643, it's a borderlands 2 reference. The "new-u" machines are the respawn machines run by the company of the main bad guy handsome jack.
@Tyler643, just incase you didnt get it from these two guys, it is referenceing borderlands 2 where handsome jack owns the machines that make you respawn
I get the pic now
By Jove a borderlands joke!
Why doesn't Roland get revived at the nearest new u?

If jack could harness all the rabid stalkers and direct them towards the vault hunters all at once...that might just do the trick
I've thought this before!
He then re-entered the boardroom 5 seconds later. And said see?
My favorite mission in the game is when Jack literally pays you to kill yourself.
