It's true though
Thems be fightin words
@I grade all memes, my point exactly
@Shodai Hokage, i am admittedly a fan of borderlands. Objectively speaking assuming they work out the bugs of borderlands 3 it is a vastly improved and distinct game from the second one. Whereas sports games make you pay for an updated roster with slightly updated graphics. A side point you are comparing 2 games from completely different genres. Each genre holds different merits and expectations of sequels. Example: gosh this green apple tastes just like this red apple, man this green apple tastes like a cutie tastes like an orange. The apple and orange are both fruits but they are judged based on different values ( you wouldn’t make an orange slice pie, but you could make an apple pie).
@kdogzzs, I like this comment and agree with your position but all I can think about now is an orange slice pie.
@kdogzzs, good analysis. I just want you to be aware that there is already an expression for the concept you painstakingly explained: apples to oranges.
@Critical Critic, my points wouldn’t quite hit if i just said apples to oranges but yes that’s what i was going for and is why i used apples and oranges as an example.
Except they aren't the same at all. I actually love how there are completely unique characters in every game while still recalling familiar themes from earlier games in other characters. Not to mention the world building is pretty great in all of them (but perhaps not the pre sequel😬). I would say that the missions are repetitious but I love the gameplay so I don't mind that myself.
@Kingsizedmidget, you are a big nerd idiot resol, total resol
(For everyone else, I know this guy IRL, total resol, don't downvote the troll)
@GayShjtSniper, *whispers* um, for an ignorant scrub like myself, what is resol?
I won’t be buying it because of the EGS exclusivity and behavior of Pitchford. I may, however, sail the seven seas for it at a later time.
The reason why people get mad is because it's wrong. That's like saying every diablo is the same because you defeat a bad guy and it's based on looting.
No, the third game is different enough that it stands on it's own merits.
@dadood fromcheers, except it doesn't. The game doesn't play like a game that's been in development for 6 years. All I know, is that if already enjoy BL, you'll like 3, but for me there wasn't anything that has kept me wanting to continue playing.
@Shodai Hokage, I mean you not enjoying the content doesn't make it the same as the other two though. Again the game stands on it's own. Your own enjoyment of the game does not change that.
@dadood fromcheers, it can be treated as DLC for 2.
@Shodai Hokage, except it cant, the amount of new features and QoL upgrades to the game are immense. Again you are entitled to not enjoy the game but that doesn't magically make the actual amount of content less. I have 30 hours on my main and im only 32% way through the game. There is enough content that I will be playing for the next few months easy.
Everyone? I don’t even know what the hell “border lands” is
All these comments proving his point
@40 to Pun, self fulfilling prophecy at its finest.
I've never played any of the Borderlands games
@ORGANIC, I've kinda fallen out of gaming, but the first one was pretty great. Hopefully life frees up time to get into the new one.
@ThePandaPool , the first one was more grounded in its storytelling and world building. 2 became campy and ridiculous. 3 expands that further but the villain isn’t as engaging.
I love the games but fundamentally I guess they kinda are
At the very least the graphics dont appear to have changed
I haven't played three yet but if it's the same with new worlds and story then bring it.
I can't even play 3 on PC. It's keeps freezing at the start and nothing I've tried works. Nothing I've updated mattered, nothing reinstalled or changed matters. I am so disappointed in that game already :(
I think the player base of both games are also completely different.
