I thought we agreed on no political pictures on here, I don't want another flame war
@TORGUE FLEXINGTON, Stuckpixel doesn't care if we agree they'll approve stuff anyway
I didn't vote for Trump, but I'm sick of all the people with their panties in a wad. He won. Get over it. It's only 4 years.
@Toad, I doubt Trump will last 4 years. It's Congress and the courts which worry me. They've already decided that doctors can refuse patients for religious reasons (see Judge O'Connor ruling), and the Affordable Healthcare Act is in jeopardy with no replacement plan just because it was put in place under the Obama administration.
@Toad, I heard he was already prepping for his next term so it could be 8 years. If he doesn't win, he'd be the first president to not be in office for two terms (not including those killed in office)
@Your Dankest Secret, are you sure? Did you ever read a single thing about US history before commenting?
@EVILdrPORKCHOP3, Gerald ford maybe? Taft? Jimmy carter?
@EVILdrPORKCHOP3, are we talking about when the two term policy came into play or since George Washington?
@Your Dankest Secret, carter. Bush OG. Ford. Taft.
@iOS10, need to fire my us government teacher then. Shjt making me look bad against these history majors
@FurriesRuinEvrything, they are repealing the ACA because they disagree with it and have since day one, nothing to do with Obama. And can you give a little more detail on the case you are referencing, because I highly doubt that's accurate and the only thing I found no Google with your description is a judge rightly blocked an executive over reach on a transgender bathroom order.
@FurriesRuinEvrything, OK, think I found it. Doctors not wanting to do gender transition surgeries isn't denying people Healthcare, it's basically add-ons and aren't life critical. There's nothing wrong with doctors not wanting to touch certain areas and it would be wrong for the government to try and force it.
@Oujosh29, Sorry for being vague. In Texas on December 31, Judge Reed O'Connor passed a ruling which allows doctors to refuse care to people based on religious reasons, per the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. According to the Affordable Healthcare Act, this was previously not allowed. This ruling is meant to specifically target women who have had abortions, and transgendered people, but doctors could technically refuse to care for any patient in non emergency situations for any religious reason.
@Oujosh29, I've read some of their disagreements about the Healthcare Act, and I've read some of what they would change. For example, they would like everybody to have a Healthcare savings fund that you pump money into at a regular basis. This savings fund would be tax free and could be used to pay your Healthcare bills with, and possibly get you other bonuses. The problem with ideas like this is that not everybody has extra money to squirrel away all the time.
@FurriesRuinEvrything, also- insurance companies have unlimited power. I don't want a health savings account because what if I don't use all that money? What happens? It'll be the same that happens to every other health savings account... it goes away. The insurance company gets it back- NOT the patient. It's a shjt deal for healthy people. The biggest problem is having companies change their policies on whims--- oh we'll give you this plan but look! In 6 months we aren't using it now. You can lose coverage ORRRRR pay for this slightly higher plan. It's happened to too many people I've known and it's sick. Regulations on the companies need to happen.
@FurriesRuinEvrything, sorry for the rant :/ I'm used to dealing with people who have NO idea how insurance works. They believe every bit of political rhetoric but have no idea how companies cheat doctors and clinics... it's why prices are so high for non-insurance people. Doctors have to set their rates 2-3 times higher than they should be hoping to be compensated for a decent rate. It leaves cash/uninsured patients at a loss. Sickening!
Plus a common practice among insurance companies is to deny coverage to applicants with any pre-existing condition. The Affordable Healthcare Act outlawed that, but if it gets repealed with no current replacement plan in sight, there will be no stopping insurance companies from continuing that malicious practice!
@FurriesRuinEvrything, what's funny in denying previous conditions is that Congress is trying to pull money from Medicaid/Medicare. Where will those people go? Honestly the insurance companies will just point them to Medicaid. Especially pregnant women. I am interested to see if that will stay in though- Even Trump himself said previous conditions could still get insurance
@SchroedingerPussPuss, That would be something at least
@FurriesRuinEvrything, thank you for stimulating conversation on this subject and not just going,"SATAN OBAMA" or "TRUMP HITLER".
@FurriesRuinEvrything, no the Affordable Health Care act is going to be repealed because it is an idiotic bill, and anyone who uses it thinking that it's cheaper than regular insurance is a Moron, I'm an insurance broker and take it from me, the Affordable Health Care act gives you horrendous coverage, bad copays, and a bad price at that. I hear people talk about how much cheaper it is, however in most cases these clients are getting sub-standard medical coverage. Whenever someone asks me about the AHA I tell them to go with a cheap bluecross blue shield plan instead, because with the AHA, if you get cancer, AIDS, or any other condition requiring expensive medication you will probably die a slow, impoverished death.
@SparkySparky BoomMan, Even at Blue Cross's MINIMUM coverage, families could still wind up paying over $14,000 a year. Most families on AHA don't even MAKE that much money in a year.
@SparkySparky BoomMan, still better than an insurance company denying to pay outright for something you need to live. Insurance companies unregulated are not to be trusted. The problem is that some things should have a regulated profit margin. Nothing against making a profit. But there's a difference between making a profit and maximizing it at the cost of screwing people over.
Plus Insurance companies aren't going to reduce your rates or co-pays when they repeal the ACA. What they will do is claim they need to recuperate their "losses" when they repeal the ACA. Prices will stay high. It's the capitalist way. Who cares who dies I guess.
On top of which the they want to just pump more money into Medicaid when they repeal the ACA. We all know that they secretly just want to have more money to line their pockets with the fund other ventures instead of using it for what it's actually intended. Like every other fund the government dips into that they say they will "borrow and payback".
@FurriesRuinEvrything, I mean if you're one of a specific group that a doctor actively hates why would you want to go to them for surgeries and such if kinda seems like a safe way to weed out doctors you shouldn't trust or go to.
He's a business man who became a reality star. I swear if Mark Cuban ran for president he'd win too
@Your Dankest Secret, doesn't take away from the fact that he IS a reality star.
@iOS10, I should be shaming you for bringing politics into my funny.. didn't know this was Political Pics
@Your Dankest Secret, shame away!
@iOS10, or just don't bring politics to our funny if you would
@Your Dankest Secret, I thought it was funny.
@iOS10, you're a sick and twisted individual... I like you
@Your Dankest Secret, political pics and funny pics aren't mutually exclusive. As long as it's funny, I don't really care, even when it makes fun of what i believe in.
@DrAwesome37, oh but political pics brings out the downvote in people, which is something I don't do. Just trying to keep this place positive
Ugh.. I'm so tired of Gene Wilder's political statements from the grave.
Somebody is always going to be offended by something. Even the people who do nothing but complain about how offended everyone is (sometimes, ESPECIALLY those people...) I know the political pics are more divisive, but I think it's the community's attitude that needs to change more than anything. This is a funny pics app, political humor is fair game. There's always going to be a picture that you don't find funny, or even one that you think is in bad taste, political or not. And then some are just plain not funny. Just like any other category of humor.
I love voting inside someone. Particularly in the right hole.
Don't care. Don't care. Don't care. Plz stahp. Plz stahp. Plz stahp. No more. No more. No more. The children are tired and must go to bed. The children are tired and must go to bed. The children are tired and must go to bed. A meme won't change politics. A meme won't change politics. A meme won't change politics.
Wait do people actually believe Trump is a bussiness man? He has always been a crooked politican. Bussiness is politics
@Crazy Gingerale, and baby business is booming
@Crazy Gingerale, True. It's as I have been saying. Corporations lobby for laws to change in their favor. Trump just cutting out the middle man and being the corporation running the country.
I know!! It makes no sense!!
So anyone who voted for his Supply Side Policies to decrease government spending which is one of the major problems in the US is an idiot. F*cking basic minded people, dont be sheep
Canada did the same thing.
I actually couldn't vote for either of them Hilary is less trustworthy than Azula and Trump is a madman I hate this country and it's obsession with stupidity
No political pics...
