This is true. People think I'm afraid of heights because I'm afraid of falling. I'm actually afraid because I'm afraid of jumping.
@A Studly Muffin, I've always been afraid of heights. But it's never been that thought of death that's scared me. It's the in unfathomable pain you could go through if you don't die or you'll be in a coma. Either will cost so much in hospital bills I'll be in debt for years.
@A Studly Muffin, I'm not so much afraid of heights, jumping, or falling, but the sudden stop at the end however. ..
@FutureWhale, Money - The root of all fear.
@A Studly Muffin, I feel the same and I climb trees for a living W_W
That's why u must control ur brain or u ll suicide
This is called the high-place phenomenon. It happens when you know there is no reason that you would fall off a ledge/onto the subway tracks, but back away anyway. Your brain misinterprets the safety signal as thinking you had the urge to jump.
Intrusive thoughts man
I'm fine when I'm looking down from high up places but when I back away from the railings I feel like killing myself by jumping??? It's crazy
Whoa, whoa is spelled "whoa", not "woah". This misspelling happens so often that it will eventually become accepted that way. WE MUST PUT AN END TO "WOAH"!
