Spec ops the line
@Nocturnus, I've heard that game mentioned a few times, so I decided to look it up. HOLY FVCKING SHlT. Aside from the fact that it's exactly what this guy is asking for, thar story line is ao messed up I think I need a counselor for just reading it. If you actually play this game, may God have mercy on your sanity.
@Gamasennin, oh dude, its a fantastic game, on the surface it looks like a generic shooter but that story line, it's based off heart of darkness.
@Nocturnus, SPOILER ALERT!!!!
I don't think i could play that game without choosing not to let the hallucination at the end kill me and then surrendering to the soldiers. But I know that if I played it that way, my grip on sanity would be looser forever.
@Nocturnus, yuuuup, to the words right out of my mouth
@Nocturnus, Do you feel like a hero yet?
@Nocturnus, white phosphorus
@Nocturnus, first game that came into my head. I recommend it to everyone. It will kill your psyche
That's just fable 3
@j4mic3man, my thoughts exactly
@j4mic3man, exactly what I was thinking
@j4mic3man, while I know a lot of people love fable 3, I thought the game had the depth and complexity of a spoon. Because instead of having the choices be ambiguous and let the consequences allow for the player to judge, the game flatly told you what was wrong and right, even in situations where being evil, wasn't quite evil. Like that whole taxes nonsense near end. Why lower the taxes and lose profits, when the veritable apocalypse is on its way, instead of raising it for a year and then lowering it. Surely a year of hardship, and then a lifetime of picnics, would be better than 1 year of that, followed by death, right? Rant over, sorry for the long post.
@j4mic3man, first comment ever, got top
Star wars knights of the old republic did it first
@Kangaroo Jacked, I killed Ajunta Pall' ghost in that game. I hope he isn't mad
@Kangaroo Jacked, I just spent like 20 minutes writing a comment on the Escapist, stating why I thought SWTOR was a failure as successor to KOTOR. Because it was like butter spread over a massive piece of toast. Spread thin, and not as impactful.
@Big Hat Brogan, better hope he hasn't seen this comment yet
@Big Hat Brogan, bro. I'm a ghost. I'm fine.
The inFamous games
Ladies and Gentlemen... Knights of the Old Republic
@Marka Ragnos, eh you were either blatantly a hero or blatantly a villain in it. Still an awesome game though
@Lord Commander Snow, I believe he's referring to the twist in KOTOR 1.
@Proactive Citizenry , it's still pretty much what he said though
Bioshock Infinite... :(
@Dark Passenger, well, to be fair, you are playing the protagonist... who also happens to be the antagonist in other dimensions...
@Doctor Krieger, And you spend the whole game trying to do the moral thing by saving some girl who... well, you know.
In the game you play as young Adolf Hitler and you must slay Alduin then you end up killing 6 Million nords.
Sounds like Hansome Jacks story in Borderlands Presequel.
Or like Fable 3 almost...
@Traceratops , I liked Jack a lot more after TPS, and stopped liking Lilith at all. She just seemed like a bjtch the whole time.
@Massive Liar, yeah, its weird how perspective changes everything.
@Traceratops , jack was the hero throughout, he went a little mad with power but he was still the tragic hero in the end: youtube "game theory handsome jack" and you'll get the explanation.
@The Megaton Bomb, yeah i know. But that is sortof the same story as hydra from captian america. He wants good to come from a bad thing.
Isn't this also featured in Spec Ops: The Line?
Brought to you by TellTale Games
You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain.
It's called Virtue's Last Reward?
Why aren't we funding this? !
Me in Skyrim. One minute saving a village the next slicing off some persons head cause they looked at me wrong

Fable 4 in a nutshell
I have a great need.
What about OFF? This is basically what happens in OFF.
Kotor did something similar
Jade Empire is that.
Bioshock Infinite. Braid.
Final Fantasy tactics advance
I have 2 suggestions but I'm afraid these' be spoilers.
Oh hell. (SPOILERS AHEAD)
In shadow of the colossus, your character literally gets darker as you progress
Shadow of the Colussus.
Isn't that star wars?
Am I the only one who wants a Zelda game where you play as Gannon and fight the spirits as temples/bosses and turn Hyrule into darkness?
You can do that in Dishonored
This could slightly be interpreted in metal gear solid 5
That game is called spec ops the line
Batman Arkham Knight
In a way, that's Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core.
Star Wars Battlefront did this.
Me in fallout wanting to have good karma then having everything go downhill
