It's times like these that I am reminded how many of the FP users are highly conservative...
@Lord Wivern, in the 2016 election it was reversed. It goes back and forth over time
@Dephenistrator, I'm not so sure, I was on this app back then and, even then, there were way more conservatives than there were liberals. I half wonder if IFunny has more liberals than conservatives and that's why so many on here hate it..
@Lord Wivern, well i used to ignore the rarity of politics cropping up until endless endless left wing memes and commenters outnumbered anything else pretty badly so i started jumping in for the first time then.
@Dephenistrator, It was election year; there were just tons of political memes. Besides, don't forget that Trump was treated like a joke by just about everyone before he was elected. I wouldn't call the anti-Trump memes in 2016 inherently liberal, just generally neutral.
@Lord Wivern, even earlier this year there were many more liberal voices. As the party does worse this year it's people voices trail off just like in sports for their team. It will see saw back in time
@Lord Wivern, literally been wondering the same
@Lord Wivern, It's times like this I remember why I'm a conservative, even though I spent most of my life thinking I was liberal. Change isn't bad, but the current reasons people want change are.
@Lord Wivern, I'm in the middle but look up "stop making me defend Trump to get the outrage ppl feel. And get a laugh
@Lord Wivern, I've been on this app for quite a while (more than eight, but I'm not sure exactly how long) , it used to be insanely liberal. Used to be, I couldn't say anything conservative without getting into a big debate and Stuckpixel didn't help by showing exclusively liberal content. Now, I would say it's a little more even, due to the fact that there are plenty of both sides in the comments
@Lord Wivern, there’s actually a study that fewer liberals can actually meme.
But hey, try to realize there are reasonable people on both sides.
Otherwise you just increase the already growing divide.
@mazemarble, a lot of politicians are criticized for “switching sides/opinions” but I think it’s a sign of them actually thinking for themselves.
Nope. Let’s not talk about this. I hear about this garbage all day long and I don’t really want to argue about this crud when I just wanted to see some funny memes. Politics is making Funnypics a much less fun place. Can we please just have a gentleman’s agreement to avoid politics and make Funnypics funny again?
@Obi Kenobi, This will never happen no matter how many yearn for it, I guess unfortunately. Too many uploaders and commenters have axes to grind and soundbites to share.
@Obi Kenobi, There has never been any point in the more than 8 years I've been here that FP was entirely non political
at least he's going to stay in office.
@Swagnamite, partly because he hasn't been impeached. The house only voted to approve the articles of impeachment, then has refused to send the articles to the Senate to have them try the case because they don't have enough evidence to convince the Senate to impeach him, because there is no evidence for their accusations.
@Doctor Yak, oh I know this, and it's funny laughing at the liberals and sjw's, who don't actually understand how the system works, who thinks he's been impeached and is no longer the president, when in fact, he's still very much their president no matter how many times they say "not my president"
@Doctor Yak, impeachment is not the same as removing from office. He has been officially impeached, that is a house only decision. Now it goes to the Senate to determine if removal from office is necessary. No impeached president has ever been removed from office by the Senate. But he has been impeached
@Hoopscallion, that's just it though. He hasn't been impeached, the articles of impeachment (being the documents that outline the allegations of impeachable offenses) were approved, in a highly partisan manner, by the Democrats in the House. They are then suppossed to pass those documents along to the Senate to have them do a trial and determine whether impeachment is appropriate.
However, impeachment is not necessarily grounds for removal from office, even if the Senate approves of impeachment.
@Swagnamite, that’s not a good thing the man did more damage in two years than the previous two presidents combined he’s a menace who uses the republican party as a stepladder to perceived power when he doesn’t listen to the democrats nor the republicans and has made one maybe two good decisions in his entire term
@Swagnamite, um theres actually a decent amount of evidence the Democrats dont want to send it to the Senate because its controlled by Republicans just like the house is controlled by the Democrats so a fair trial is difficult. There were 8 cases of him impeding an investigation in the Mueller report which is an obstruction of justice. I'm rather moderate but hes a bad boy lol. He also has a running case of tax fraud in New York but you cant try a sitting president for that so they're just waiting lol. Seriously why defend him when there are better options now and I mean on all sides. However you may not have heard of the Republicans because the party refused to hold a Congress for the candidates. The depth of entrenchment on one candidate that has done almost nothing for anyone he promised improvements to and has acted pretty horribly is not ideal.
@Doctor Yak, theres actually a good amount and presidents have been impeached for less it's more because the Senate is Republican so they dont trust that side to handle it responsibly especially in an election year when they have solely backed him despite him being a terrible president.
@Cousteau, idk man. Sounds like leftist propaganda to me. The economy is great, he got North Korea into peace talks and he won the fight stopping illegal immigration.
This “damage” you speak of? Imma need some proof, otherwise I’m not buying the sheep mentality talking points.
@Doctor Yak, There’s a Mountain of evidence. Maybe not for the first article re: Ukraine, but for obstructing investigations. It’s not even like, a question. It’s just something that is in fact happening and the White House is admitting it.
@griffinstorme, I'm pretty sure if the investigation is a farce obstructing it isn't illegal.
@Doctor Yak, it definitely is.
Not impeached until the house officialy confirms it in paper to the Senate
Trump was "impeached" biasly only by the democrats house vote (that they won't actually send foreward anymore because they know it's trash) only because dems want to undo the 2016 election and pry him from office.
@Dephenistrator, Okay 3 things here: 1 If Pelosi was so determined to undo the results of 2016, impeachment would have begun as soon as he took office. 2 The only reason that they are doing it now is because Trump and Giuliani are incompetent criminals who literally admit to crimes on television. 3 Republicans are against Trump when it comes to more witnesses not Dems because they know if they were to testify it would be devastating for them.
1) Pelosi was for impeachment, just not yet and kept warning her dems to cool off it until this Ukraine thing popped up and she was full gun ho about it. Maybe Google how many dems in office have been calling for his impeachment since day one, it makes the dems look pretty bad.
2) that's a lie on top of hateful wishful thinking. Please, give us a quote of trump saying he definitely did extort Ukraine for himself. Show us what the entire democrat party could not muster after incessant abuse of power to dig up whatever they can on trump.
3) A) the house does the investigation, the Senate debates the evidence so calling for Republicans to let them draw out witnesses looks good on the camera for them either way when they spin it. Either they get more testimony sound bites, or as they have done, they can bs unfairness after doing far, far worse things for themselves in the house.
@HappyBandit7, B) the dems witnesses has been a hearsay charade with the closest thing to a real witness being Sondland who clearly said he didn't see quid pro quo (dems still celebrated his sound bites) the witnesses simply are not witnesses, and that's why the whistle blower will never willfully step forward. This is a dedicated sham after the russia collusion sham, after the obstruction of justice sham.
@HappyBandit7, 1. It litterally did,
2. They didnt litterally biden admitted to the crime they were investigating in the first place.
3. The are no witnesses you seem to have a complete misunderstanding about what they are impeaching him for. There is a transcript that exhonerates trump that he released himself.
@Dephenistrator, how fúcking dense do you have to be to say that Sondland didn't say there was a quid pro quo, when I'm his opening FûçKING statement he clearly states that there was a quid pro quo (https://youtu.be/eBh0oJFtV_c) have a look for yourself my guy lol. New evidence that has come out recently (i.e. the email from the OMB and reporting regarding three top white house official, including Bolton and Pompeo, trying to convince Trump to release the aid because it was sketchy from the start to say the least) have further shown that this was not some means of "rooting out corruption" or whatever different būllsht they peddle every other day and definitely about trashing Joe Biden before the 2020 election. So please take your ïdiotic, Fox news, maga garbage somewhere else you fücking clown
@Pumas UNAM, 1) i don't watch fox news so you can go beat up that straw man by yourself and dress it up as a clown or whatever else helps vent your frustrations.
@Pumas UNAM, 2) Turner: "After you testified, Chairman Schiff ran out and gave a press conference and said he gets to impeach the president of the United States because of your testimony and if you pull up CNN today, right now their banner says, 'Sondland ties Trump to withholding aid.' Is that your testimony today Ambassador Sondland? That you have evidence that Donald Trump tied the investigations to the aid? Because I don't think you're saying that."
Sondland: "I've said repeatedly congressman that I was presuming. I also said that President Trump never..."
Turner: "So nobody else on this planet told you that Donald Trump was tying aid to these investigations?"
Turner: "So you really have no testimony today that ties President Trump to a scheme to withhold aid from Ukraine in exchange for these investigations."
Sondland: "Other than my own presumption."
Turner: "Which is nothing!"
1) the first attempt of the impechemnt was July 2017. He took office feb 2017.
2) he didn’t do anything illegal.
3) or you could present a single shred of evidence. That be helpful thanks.
@Pumas UNAM, “if you don’t fire that prosecutor by my flight in 6 hours, then you aren’t getting the Billion dollar. Well son of a bïtch.” Joe Biden 2015.
I guess consentual sex is what passes for impeachment. Withholding aid to an allying nation for your political advantage isn't. At least for Republicans.
@HappyBandit7, the aid was never withheld. The president of Ukraine didn't even know about what is allegedly a 'Quid-pro-quo'. You literally can not have a this for that if your target doesn't know. I have no idea how this shït even got so far when the full call was declassified and no one at the circus of a hearing had even talked to the guy. It's a political stunt before the election and nothing more.
@Rumble, it was clearly a stunt to, the dems started the impeachment process immediately, even before any hearings or discussing evidence or witnesses. It was like they couldn't wait to have a flimsy excuse to start this faux impeachment
@Rumble, planned distraction
@HappyBandit7, i mean he used his position of authority to essentially force her to suck his d!ck if i remember right. I was like 7. And the president was using his position of authority to investigate corruption surrounding hunter biden and his father. If you read the transcript the president of ukrain was not being threatened. He was all to excited to talk to trump as he is very simmilar because hes a commedian who was elected to get rid of Ukrainian corruption.
@HappyBandit7, lying under oath is what got Clinton impeached not the sex act
@HappyBandit7, he didn’t get impeached for getting a bj you idiot, he got impeached for perjuring himself before the grand jury about said bj. Learn your history
Conservatives have always been around here they just don’t like the violence that’s foisted on them when they have an opinion... silent majority
Priorities are off there
